Whats your favorite video game soundtrack?

Just got finished playing Burnout 3 and it has the best soundtrack I've ever heard for a videogame. Awesome list of driving music. I think crazy taxi had a good one when it came to driving music even though it was only 4 songs (2 Bad Religiom, 2 Offspring). I also think Donkey Kong Country and SSB Melee had really good OSTs as well.

Hard to say... a lot of .mod songs are great. Crusader: No Remorse, Crusader: No Regret, Unreal Tournament, and Deus Ex for example.

I always liked the Chrono Trigger soundtrack.

hmm.. Final Fantasy 2 soundtrack was good too.

guitar hero 1 & 2, the GTA games have pretty good soundtracks for the most part due to the radio stations.

GH2 definitely had a better sound track due to the fact that it was recognized as a real game and they didn't have to use as many cover bands.

Yeah, but I just generally meant the songs used on it; I mean, were it up to them they would have used the real ones, so I think their choices were still good.

Final Fantasy VI followed closely by Final Fantasy IV, Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VII (didn't like the game as much, but the music was good!).

I loved the Splinter Cell soundtracks, either Pandora Tomorrow or Chaos Theory, they really did their job creating the atmosphere. Also MGS3 had an amazing soundtrack.

before reading the whole thread, i'm going to predict that the FF soundtracks will win by a landlside.

edit: wow, i'm surprised by the results so far. it took 3 posts before someone mentioned a FF game.

Still a bunch of FF games mentioned as well as other Square games.
