mm... fav fantasy could be the LOTR trilogy, but I really love The Neverending Story (the 2 sequels are awful with part 3 being one of the worst movies ever..oh..part 3 has Jack Black if you care)
I also loved The Dark Crystal ...I always had a soft spot for Jim Henson stuff.
For scifi its gotta be Star Trek 2. Also liked Event Horizon and Enemy Mine.
I also love Conan the Barbarian, though I think its the score that I truly love most about it.

That's a good one. A classic. I have to say I loved Blade Runner - Director's Cut.Originally posted by: UglyCassanova
Neverending Story
EDIT: And for all the people that post that "The 5th Element" was a good movie, you are not allowed to vote. The 5th element is love? That's FAR too cheesy to give it a "classic" movie crown. That movie was horrible, but the ending alone disqualifies it from any awards or recognition.
But they showed boobies in the 5th element.
And Chris Tucker's performance was great! (Yes, it's got boobies, if you can call Milla's little titties "boobies"..)

Hands down my favorite fantasy movie would be the first Lord of the Rings. As far as scifi goes I'd have to say Blade Runner, that movie was truly one of Harrison Ford's classics.

We need more fantasy movies in Hollywood. Hopefully now that LOTR has proven to be a huge moneymaker more films of that type will be on the way.
