Because I work out of my truck all day, I carry bottled water as a convenience; I tried the water jug and the 'refill the bottle' trick and it was just gross. We get cases of Sam's water at WalMart (one of the very, very few reasons I will go into WalMart) for about $3 a case.

I fill a few small bottles, and keep them in a cooler. For something different, I add flavor extracts. I especially like peppermint, but lemon and fennel is good too. About 1/4tsp per liter.

I will run through 10 bottles in the heat of the summer, if I have my daughter with me X2... it's just too much of a pain vs .15/bottle.

Why? Some tap water's pretty damned good, and other tap water is unfixable without a huge amount of money. My tap water's good, but I've had some that tasted like it was filtered through a carp. The other side of town tastes like it was transported through a hot garden hose. My second apt I ever had was the best water. It was taken from a ground source, and tasted great; as good if not better than most bottled water.

lol filter? my family has straight drank tap for 50+ years and are fine. for 60 years before that they drank well water in a well that was 100 feet or so from the pasture and manure pond. and that was fine too.

Either way, to be fair, the municiple water is not Dasani...you need to add some salt to it.

No, the municipal supply in Raleigh is pushed through RO, and final chemical composition out of the tap is pretty much identical to what you find in a bottle of Dasani. In any real direct comparison--that is exactly what you are drinking.

remember, Dasani/Aquafina is nothing more than the municipal supply coming into the Coke/Pepsi factories pushed through RO, nothing more.

it is purchased and consumed by suckers.
