All i loved my fiat panda, it was great, whenever something fell off, i would just superglue it back together (pretty much what fiat did to put it together). Only replaced the car when i put my foot thru the floor.

'88 Ford Escort.

When I'd try and get some speed to pass someone, it was drop a gear lower and rev like it was doing 110 mph, but was still be going the same exact speed.

That was a POS.

Cadillac Cimmaron. Circa 1988.. I got it as a senior in high school in 1993..
Worst car ever. My friends called it a Cadillac Cavalier. I could only drive it 2-3 miles before I started hearing a boiling noise. The oil leaked and the car shook so much it would make someone with touretts sydrome look normal.

my first car was a 1968 Mustang. It had a 289, but was a major peice of crap. I wish I still had it because I would just pay someone to restore it, but back them I was constantly paying for parts and fixing it.

I had a 92 Ford Probe. It was turbocharged with a 5 speed, so it was really fun to drive, but it went through a pretty catastrophic engine failure about 2 weeks after I got it. I got it repaired and immediately had another catastrophic engine failure (unrelated to the first blow-up). Total cost for about 4 weeks of driving: $2500.

1978 Toyota Corona (like the beer) Luxury Ediition
PICTURE

It stalled while I was making a left turn at an intersection and it's an automatic.

Sometimes I have to "vibrate" the car to get it to start. I'll sit there turning the key 20 times while shaking my rear to get to start.

I can backfire on command. hit the gas real hard and let go.

seats weren't adjustable, no ac, analog radio

I had to push this thing to gas stationes twice on rainy days.

Sometimes I can't even use the key to get in.

It constantly overheats so to prevent it I open all the windows, open vents, and turn on heater.

my wife's Chevy S10 (mine through marriage)
-constant battery failures, at least once a year
-battery leaked and caused all kinds of issues
-electrical problems
-spare was permanently stuck on
-brakes were unreliable
-shocks were bad

I told her i don't buy american cars, now she knows why I'm right. I bought her a new IS300 last month. She likes that way better.

Brake rusting, wearing out quickly
AC was pathetic

I always purchased GMs, right up to my POS '77 Bonneville. I've always purchased used cars, so I expect to do a little work on them from the get go, but this one had the worst engineering I've ever seen. From the hard plastic wiring harness connectors, to the eensie window motors, and idiotic pickup coil, that required removal of the distributor to replace.

Cars that large should have a silky smooth ride, and be quiet as a tomb, but this one had a miserable drone from the rear end. I had a guy replace the rear bearings, and he said the ring gear looked like it came out of a Pinto! The oil filter on the 301ci engine, was made super tiny to fit between the engine and frame. It was a POS from top to bottom, and front to back. Last GM I ever owned. Been driving big Fords ever since, and have NEVER been let down.

Seems like there are just as many Japanese cars as American cars in this thread....

My worst car was my wife's '99 Corolla. The A/C failed and the exhaust fell out of the bottom of the car. We patched it up and traded it really quickly for something less crappy.

worst car was my 1991 Honda CRX

it was a money pit.

I bought it because it was good on fuel, being a 5 speed.

Paid $2,000 for it,
put new exhaust system on at Midas,
$450.

4 new tires,$350.
new radiator $175.
battery $40.
front brakes,$200.

head gasket went,I took it to a Radiator shop, they refused to put the car on the lift.
The underneath was rotted bad. :|

took it to the junk yard, kept the tires. :(

Now that I've actually read this thread, all I can say is

How the fvck can anyone damn a car just because normal wear parts go bad? BTW, normal wear parts are such items as exhaust, shocks and batteries. Even starters and alternators are expected to die after a while. Sheesh...

My 1989 Lincoln Continental.

Cool car...until the rear air shocks inflated and blew out for no reason. $$$$.
Engine was replaced at 80k miles by previous owners...mistreatment? Abuse? Just crappy? Who knows...
Trans went out....again, $$$$
And it ALWAYS had that annoying rear-end sag that every 1988-94 Continental suffered from. They never did seem to get that right.

Other than that, it was cool. Looked really nice, no rust or dents, etc. I still miss it, from time to time.

Honorable mention goes to my '77 Coupe DeVille. Rusted out brake line (why I never drove it), bad alternator, leaking shocks, carb in desperate need of a rebuild, leather seats that were cracked and hard, rear bumper held on with a chain looped around it. broken gas gauge, nasty engine miss....I only drove that car about 20 miles in the entire time I had it though, so it doesn't really count.

The pathetic 1989 Lincoln Continental was FWD, POS. WTF would anybody attempt to build a decent sized car with a FWD configuration?

Engine was replaced at 80k miles by previous owners...mistreatment? Abuse? Just crappy?

Warped aluminum head? YEP!
