Why did I forget to buy it?
Because I've been too busy with other stuff and it slipped my mind.

Why did it sell out?
Because the collector's edition will be shipping in very small quantities and it is a highly desired item.

Why do I have to buy it from a gypsy seller on YAJ?
Because all the gypsy sellers on other Japanese game re-selling websites charge way too much money. YAJ is going to net me the most reasonable price.
 
Oh I didn't know there was a collector's edition that was JP only. That'd do it.

Two PS3 themes and a book hardly seems worth it though, is that it?

Then I spent last weekend playing it. I just love to assasinate the rebels, and send criminals to jail for lengthy re-education.
 
Skyrim was $15 off when pre-ordered, so I pre-ordered that. Before that it was SSBB. I pre-ordered it so far in advance, all the ink wore off the reciept by the time it came out.

If I wait to pre-order, I might find some place with a nice freebie or something. Would be awesome if this 2-game collection was a freebie for those who pre-order The Last Guardian.
 
Just paid for MW3, before that was Madden 12, NCAA 12. Started to pre-order most stuff from amazon to get the $20 credit and since release day shipping is only .99 cant beat that deal.

why? it comes with a ton of bonuses.

(if I recall correctly, the LOTRO expansion pre-order gives you a bunch of free content in the game that you can access right now, that would otherwise cost money (since it's a micro-transaction game))

If you recall, we preordered our N64 at TRU but had to buy it at K-Mart because they wouldn't take our mother's check for some stupid reason (she used one the day before when she rarely uses them and it set off their red flags).
 
Back in 1993 or so they were making a Battletech game for the Genesis that IIRC was supposed to be a lot like the tabletop game. After it got cancelled, my mom and I used the credit on something else...I forget what. I'm still disappointed.
