Back in 1993 or so they were making a Battletech game for the Genesis that IIRC was supposed to be a lot like the tabletop game. After it got cancelled, my mom and I used the credit on something else...I forget what. I'm still disappointed.

This game?

Looks somewhat interesting. But if it was a port anything like the SNES Mechwarrior/MW 3050, you didn't miss anything. They were rather horrendous.

No no no no no.
It was supposed to be a strategy game the likes of which had never been seen on a console before.
I remember all the hype about it but never heard anything about it finally coming out.
If we'd had the internet back then we woulda known about it being cancelled.

Back then the only rumors to be spread were those in your neighborhood. Nowadays you can spread a rumor all around the world in 3 minutes.

But I liked games back then much better.

Battlefield 3 Limited Edition

I bought Bad Company 2 plus the Vietnam expansion for $9.99 total in July (Steam Summer Sale) and it's become a 20-hours-a-week habit. There's no way in hell Battlefield 3 will not live up to the promise. Those gameplay videos are mind-bogglingly intense.

First-time pre-ordering anything. Also the first time I have seen a game that I just felt compelled to buy on launch day as opposed to 'wait for it to hit the $10-$15 range). FWIW, it cost $32 here (India) so yeah, it's more than I normally spend on games.

We so excited, so excited...:p

The Verve released an album in 2008. Pre-ordered the Japanese release with extra tracks.

Love it.
