Other than airline tickets, I don't think I've ever pre-ordered anything.

Band of Brothers on Blu Ray, I think.

can't beat $34 on day of release for a set that after 10 years, still cost $70 for the fecking DVDs.

there are some games that a person would buy regardless of the reviews (eg: an expansion pack for an MMO that they're addicted to) and for a lot of the A-list games at least, there are pre-order bonuses like in-game item codes.

the beauty of games that have a strong mod community (Dragon Age Origins)--assuming the games allow it--is that the community will make those piddly bonus items available for free. (and they are always piddly by the midpoint of such games)

Nintendo 3DS with 4 games. SSF4, Pilot Wings, Zelda, Professor Layton 3D. The professor Layton title is delayed till next year so I can't comment on that. Very satisfied with it. Before that I preordered the collectors edition of FFXIV but I cancelled it when the reviews started to roll in. I don't preorder very much. If there is a collectors edition of Diablo III I may preorder that.

I feel your pain.

And learned something today, you can pre-order things that don't have anything to do with gaming. That's crazy!

Mass Effect 2, no regrets since it was a very good game.

I might give in and pre-order Star Wars The Old Republic, even though I'd much rather have a true single-player KOTOR 3. Supposedly there is quite a bit of single-player-ish content in TOR.

I used to pre-order books, but now I just download them from Amazon or Baen to my Kindle so there's no need.

Eh, ME2 was not as good as ME1 IMO. Story might have been better in some peoples view, but game play was worse.

Right now I've got Richard Dawkin's next book on pre-order. Thinking about canceling it and going to a book signing though; Wating to see how much that costs and if I really want to go

Yeah wtf haha

My last pre-order was the CE for Burning Crusade (WoW.) Don't see myself pre-ordering anytime soon.

Halo2. After waiting at a store for over an hour to pick it up I decided to instead go to Walmart for the rest of my 0 day purchases. No wait at midnight, quick checkout. DONE.

Dragon Quest collection for Wii, 2 copies. One to keep sealed, one to open and enjoy. Loved all the games on the collection and I can't wait to play through them again.

Forza Motorsport 3, thanks to the pre-order credit Amazon was giving. Without at least a $10 incentive, there's no reason at all to pre-order, for me at least. In fact, I no longer buy games when they first come out because they always hit half price within a few months of release, with a few exceptions like Call of Duty and Blizzard games, which I don't even care about anyway.
