Windows 7 HP upgrade. A surprising choice since I don't usually get anything Microsoft on release. Can't say I've regretted it though, especially since it was $50.

Tomb Raider 2, and it was well worth it. Not quite as great as the first one, but still very fun.

The seqel to Metro 2033 will be my second preorder ever.

1. I've got half a package left of the pumpkin spice coffee. Not in k-cups though. I'm drinking a cup at this very moment.
2. Did you know there's some sort of thing you can fill to "create" your own k-cups? Far cheaper. So, if you can't get your pumpkin spice k-cups, just get a bag of pumpkin spice coffee and create your own k-cups for about 25 cents each, instead of the retail 70 cents each or so.

Does pre-ordering movie tickets at 3:30pm for a midnight showing count?

were you satisfied with it?

today, I pre-ordered 4 boxes of Pumpkin Spice k-cups :awe: looking forward to them... I love pumpkin-flavored coffee. always annoys me that it's not available year-round, as if they can't make artificial pumpkin flavor outside of September-November.

prior to that, I think the last thing I preordered was Civ 5... that I kinda regret. I enjoyed the game and all, but I felt mega-butthurt after I preordered it for $60 and then a week after release, it got marked down to like $20.
those k-cups are so overpriced though... somebody needs to make a "generic version".

my sister has one of those and gets great use out of it, but my problem is that I'm drinking maybe 1-2 cups on an average week... even frozen, most coffee will start going stale before I can use it.

I've only ever pre-ordered one thing, and that was GTAIV I think, from Amazon. It didn't come in the mail on release day, so I just went to Walmart and picked it up there, then returned the one I ordered from Amazon when it came 2 to 3 days later.

Haven't pre-ordered anything since, I don't see the point.

Just bought an HDHomeRun Prime from jr.com (they're calling it a pre-order, but Newegg has already shipped some of these).

...and the first thing I ever pre-ordered was Donkey Kong Country for SNES. Then DKC2. I pre-ordered a Nintendo 64. Got lots of freebies for that.

Mass Effect 2, no regrets since it was a very good game.

I might give in and pre-order Star Wars The Old Republic, even though I'd much rather have a true single-player KOTOR 3. Supposedly there is quite a bit of single-player-ish content in TOR.

I used to pre-order books, but now I just download them from Amazon or Baen to my Kindle so there's no need.

Preordering games is literally the dumbest thing possible. Why would you preorder when you could wait a WHOLE FUCKING DAY after release and see reviews, and make an informed decision?

there are some games that a person would buy regardless of the reviews (eg: an expansion pack for an MMO that they're addicted to) and for a lot of the A-list games at least, there are pre-order bonuses like in-game item codes.

I might pre-order Torchlight 2 to reward the developers since it's only going to be $20 and I got at least $25 worth of playing time from my $5 Stream copy of TL1.

The same with Borderlands 2 -- I paid $12? for the Borderlands GOTY on Steam and put in over 100 hours. I might not preorder at $50 but I wouldn't mind paying a bit extra into their tip jar as a reward for the first one.
