Another Bonneville driver, I see.

I'm assuming it's an SSE/SSEi (or else modded)? The limiter in my old '92 SE was at 108....I don't speed crazily anymore so I haven't really gotten to see where it would be in my current '94 SSEi...

Assuming we're talking about 4-wheel ground vehicles, 120 mph in my car (at which point the speed governor kicked in and started braking  )

We have a winner!

About 110 in a 1978 Cadillac Sedan deVille. The front end started to lift at that speed. Wasn't driving though.

True story:

A friend and I were driving to a larger town a couple hours away from home in his Mustang GT....cruising along at 5 over, when this bright red porsche 911 turbo goes speeding by us in the lefthand lane. Ok cool, we just keep driving along as we had been, getting around traffic and all that, when who do we see slowing down to wait for us up ahead...the porsche.

So my friend, being the manly man he is, speeds up to pull even with the porsche...and as we do the other guy floors it (note I say to my friend right here he's just going to play with us) so my friend floors the GT to try and keep up. Traffic is fairly light so both cars start getting going fast...100+ mph pretty quickly when we come up to a small car (in left lane) and a semi (in right lane) blocking our race from continuing....or so we thought. The porsche driver (still going around 100mph) drives over onto the shoulder of the road and passes the semi from the right!

We chickened out and waited for the small car to pass the semi before passing ourselves and seeing the porsche waiting for us again. Traffic is really light now and we get up to 125+ mph, the whole time the porsche just plays with us...edging ahead and slowing down again :) Finally we got to town and figured going 125 in a 65 was prolly a bad idea....so we slowed down and let the porsche have his victory! bwaha!

Not old enough to drive, and my family is mostly made up of conservative drivers. Fastest I've ever been driven is 90mph in an 01 Ford minivan on northbound CA-99 getting out of Fresno (I think the speed limit there is 70 or 75).

130 mph on Guadalupe Expressway Highway 87 northbound in San Jose.

It was 3AM in the morning. I was pushing my 1994 Acura Integra faster but it seems that it won't go any higher than 130mph.

dirven: 95 on route 80 in PA... I usually go 80 along that road, especially in the long and empty stretches that make up most of the PA section of the road, but I spaced out and didn't realize how hard I was pressing on the gas.

been driven: 120, by a crazy friend on the same road.

(80 = the road that me a most of my friends took to get from college in PA to home in NYC)

97 1.8 Mitsubishi Carisma, on the new part of the A120 going towards Stanstead airport, with absolutely no cars in sight, GPS had me at 125 MPH (speedo said about 130) coming to the brow of a hill. According to Mitsubishi, that is the top speed of my car. Might have got faster but I saw tail lights in the distance as I crested the hill and I knew there was a Parking place a little way down the road.

Driving - 120 in my old ITR. Sustained was ~115 in my 84 Colt Turbo.
Driven - 145 through the Dip at Road Atlanta in a Saleen (The Dip is no longer with us with the new track configuration at Road Atlanta - it was too dangerous for Champ cars, so they changed the track in hopes of getting a race.)
