haven't been clocked, but I've driven a ducati 919 to around 150-160. in car probably around 145-150 in my moms taurus (120 is as far as the spedomeder goes)

The Taurus has a speed limiter at 112mph...

When I had my 92 GL, the speedometer stopped at 85 :(

Not sure I'd do it again (can't believe I didn't get pulled over, a friend and I were racing). *tear* I miss that car still...

Was it modded? Because my 89 Celica ST had a limiter at 115MPH (discovered in Montana)

Yeah, slightly. It had a JET chip in it, Bosch 8.5mm wires/Platinum4 plugs, K&N filters, stainless Borla exhaust...mostly minor stuff. It was fun to drive though

I had a 1990 Probe LX, and its digital speedo would just blink "85" at you, as you watched the tach keep going up.
I knew it would run 130 from magazine tests, though. If you know what gearing your car has, and you have a tach, you can calculate how fast you are going.

140mph a bunch of times in my trip to Yellowstone, in a buick rental buick and my friend's Ford Taurus SHO.
It was fun.
I think my average mph from Montana to Seattle was around 110MPH.

Ridden: 122 mph in a Maxima (I think that what it is) on State Route 63 in Mississippi.
Driven: 118 mph in Mazda 626 on I-10 in Mississippi.

You went 140 in a rental Buick? I think not. The SHO maybe.

A couple of years ago while driving to work, I was keeping up with a Cadillac STS. I looked at my speedometer and I was going either 108 or 115 mph. I slowed down right away and got off the highway. If the cops had caught me going that fast I would be getting out of jail right about now.

I now keep a much closer eye on my speed.

It was a downhill straight road.
It only took us a little over 8 hours to go from Butte, Montana to Bellevue, WA.
You do the math.

Fastest I've driven is 100. Fastest I've been driven is 120. 100 was heading up from NYC to Montreal and it was on the long highway you take and there was no one around. I don't remember where the 120 was.
