When i was younger, one of my dad's buddies took me in his early-mid 60's Vette. I think we hit about 130 or so. Don't remember the exact year of the car but it looked similar to these, other than the color.

105mph or so in a '92 Pontiac Bonneville, on Texas State Highway 21 (basically, the middle of nowhere). I don't speed like that anymore though...

im suprised too, my friends parents had a 9000, and it was the 2.0l version, think it had a turbo, but it was the slowest thing id ever been in, and im not suprised. the doors felt like they weighed a ton each

I drove 120 mph for about a half second on the QEW going to Toronto from Niagra. Damn, that highway moves fast!

/me turns green with envy.

For me, 110mph or so in a 2000 Prizm (might have been able to go a tad bit faster, but I wasn't about to try). Not sure what the fastest I went in my 92 Prizm was, as the speedo stopped at 80 and the needle was a ways past that. On I-80 just west of the Colorado border.

Dayum, that's not exactly the easiest bit of road to go 100+mph on, especially the banking curve immediately before the Brighton turnoff (if you're going eastbound).

Still, the last bit before the Lewes/Beddingham roundabout is good for speed if you're careful.

[Edit] 110mph in my uncle's Lancia Delta turbo (Integrale? Not sure) somewhere near Worthing a few years ago.
My car won't break 98mph :( and I haven't taken the 150bhp Skoda past 95mph yet for fear of having my license taken away (I drive for a living, so I can't get in any trouble with the law).

[Edit2] Before I forget, the A2/M2/A2 bit of road towards Canterbury is excellent for speeding ;)

It was from the top of the hill at the Ditchling exit to the A23 turnoff. We were already 'moving it' as we crested and just a little squeeze had us down that mile or so long hill in about 5 seconds... :p

We were 21 at the time, me and the driver....and the car used to belong to one of the Goss brothers (BROS) hahahahahahaahah!!

Bounced off the limiter in the turbovan once. If/when I fix it, that's one of my priorities.

I hear those arabian peninsula highways are some of the fastest roads on the planet. True?

130?... in my old 89 Celica GT. The speedo went to 125 but the needle was buried while I was still gaining a lil' bit. This was on 41 between Appleton and Green Bay, WI when I was about 20 years old. Not sure I'd do it again (can't believe I didn't get pulled over, a friend and I were racing). *tear* I miss that car still...

Was it modded? Because my 89 Celica ST had a limiter at 115MPH (discovered in Montana)

120+ (Speedometer buried)

1970 Covertible Caddy with 472 Modded Engine to 512, Modded Quad Card 110 Octane Aircraft Fuel.

With POSI rear could spin the tires in place indefinitely.

Take off would pin you back in the seat. It was an awesome horsepower machine.

Other fast car I drove was the Hayes #15 Nascar car. Wally Dallenbach wrecked 2 cars in one weekend so they had to send the show car up to him for Watkins Glen road course.
