106 in a 65... might have been a 55, whatever it was I actually met the cop before and he moved my speed down to 20 over so I could go to traffic school and shit :p

160 km/hr in a 60 km/hr zone.

Luckily, he didn't have me on radar as he was travelling the other direction when I flew past him. I was driving a friend / coworker home after a late night working and he said he had never been in a car going 100mph, so i stupidly decided to show him how fast that was. There were no cars on the four lane road, but it still rates up there with one of the stupidest things I have ever done. I got a $110 fine and three points on my license.

101 in a 70. Two lane road...late at night. A car pulled behind me (I was going 75), and started flashing its hi-beams. So I speed up, so I can pass the semi that is next to me, and pull in front of it. Well, apparently, I speed up way to fast, because the car that was hi-beaming me was a cop. I had just seen some thing on TV the day before that had to do with a cop that was pulling people over, and then assaulting them (some show/movie)....so I was pretty paranoid, especially because it was in the middle of nowhere. I had my little brother in the car with me, and the cop threatened to jail me due to child endangerment. By the gods, he didnt, and I was extremely fortunate. He told me that he would radio all other units ahead, and if I went even 5 over, and was caught, I would be going to jail. My little bro was pretty shaken up about it, and made sure to tell me how fast I was going for the duration of our 5 hour drive. If I was even a couple mph over, we would scream out that I needed to slow down.

What truck do you have? (engine, transmission, year, cab, bed length...)

A 4.7+5 speed 2WD gen 3 Dakota like mine does what I listed, the same in a late model Ram does 16.8, gen 3 R/T Dakota 15.2-15.4, Hemi Ram QC 15.65. QC SRT10 Ram mid to upper 14's. (why they made that I have no idea...)

It's big and slow. 01 F150 super cab, 6' box, 4x4 5.7l V8 4spd auto. It's rigged for towing so it really doesn't have great acceleration. I'm thinking it's probably slower through the trap then your truck is, especially given the 5000lb+ weight.

I'm going to assume you mean 5.8 or 5.4...

You're probably on par with the 4.7 Ram that I lined up against that did 16.8. Maybe as high as 17.5.

Damn I feel like an ass. Yea, I meant the 5.4. I'm probably slower then that Ram though. I'll race you right after an oil change, feels like a brand new motor then :D

65 mph was the fastest I've been clocked. It was in a 55 limit zone. I was driving alone on a country highway at 1 am, and saw a set of headlights in my rearview mirror gradually creeping up on me. So I increased my speed, and next thing I know I have red & blues flashing behind me. Sheriff asks if I'd ever received a ticket, I said "No," and he let me off with just a warning - "Slow it down out there."

The other 2 times I was stopped for doing 45.

I've surprisingly never been pulled over in a 65+ mph zone (even though I often break 90 and have broken 110 once or twice.)
Worst for me was probably 78 in a 55mph zone.

80 in a 65 on a clear freeway late at night, around 11PM, at the end of the month ;)

I've gone 120+ on the freeway several times to see how fast my car could go, and drove 100+ several times on my way from LA to SD. Never got pulled over.

Stopped and ticketed: 94 mph in a 100 kph zone in Canada trying to keep up with the Canadian guy in front of me because he knew where we were going and I didn't. RCMP was not amused.

I haven't been above 80 since then (East of Seattle the speed limit on I-90 is 70mph).

Fastest ever, 140 mph and still pulling hard on a track.

114 in a 35

I was testing out our family's new street/drag car. Before you people start whining, it was in the middle of nowhere on new streets that had just been laid down. No business and no homes or anything yet. Just streets and parking lots.

I didn't get a ticket though. The cop just told us to put the car back on the trailer and get home. :)

I'm gonna have to call shens on this.

Tahoes have a speed governor that limits them to 99mph.

Unless you have a aftermarket check that bypasses this of course.

I don't know. Somewhere between 110 and 120 in a 55. Highway patrolman pulled me and asked what I was doing. I told him I was just cruising along. He asked if I had anything to drink. I said nope. He just shook his head, told me to take it easy on the roads and let me go on my way. Luckiest I've ever been.

Never been stopped by a cop actually. But I generally don't speed - fastest I've gone is 140-150 in a 100kmh zone.

55 in a 35. Speed limit was later raised to 45. Bastards.

Fastest ever is 136, capped on a prelude. Would not recommend.

121 in a 65.

cop had gun drawn and asked to step out of my car... was placed in the back of cruiser... car impounded... went to court for a reckless ticket... got it dropped down to a seat belt violation and only had to pay 55 bucks (plus money to get car out of impound lot).

I've only been pulled over once and that was for going 40 in a 25. I only got pulled over because it was at night and there were few other cars on the road - during the day everyone goes 40 around the intersection there.

Fastest I've sped though, is 80 in a 25 (It's a straightaway to an intersection, slowed down at the intersection though).

We were using part of a public roadway as our haul road...and were limited to 10 MPH while on the asphalt...with a radar cop there all day...

I got pulled over about 2 weeks ago for literally going 75 in a 70 in the passing lane while passing. No points but a 5 over ticket to mess up my perfect driving record. I normally never go more than 3 over the limit unless passing (which was the case here). Paid my ticket (a little over 100 bones) and learned an important lesson - once a month cops turn in to pricks (maybe more than once if female). Glad to fill your quota officer. That and now I watch the needle like a hawk.
