hey, not me! :eek:

Yes, you too Mr. 4:09.

-Shens-

overview

Trophies / plaques

Medals / ribbons

Meh, it doesnt prove I ran a 4:09, but its more than the other people can show for, who are saying crazy times. :D

Also, you can see my 2 Illinois state track numbers (the large ones) and the number for my University of Iowa invitational (left side, towards bottom). Iowa wont just let any scrub go there to run in their meet. ;)

Hey... It looks like those trophies that they used to give everyone for kindergarten soccer! wow!!!! nice!!!!

Really though, I withdrawl my shens!
I thought shens too until I saw those pictures, as my brother has a ton of medals, ribbons, and numbers just like that (All-state in the 3200). I only have a modest collection so far.

My best mile was a 4:51 last season (Freshman in HS).

Hicham El Gerrouj has the current 1 mile world record, and it's 3:43. You did not run a 3:37.

That's amazing that you ran about as fast as the world's fastest amateur runner in 1915.

I was really slow in HS and only did a 5:31 in my junior year. Later that meet, I also set my PR in the 2 mile with a 12:13.

Nowadays, I'm much slower. :D I could probably do 8:30 tops.

I think my best ever was about 7 minutes on the treadmill about 2-3 years ago. My best in high school was 13 minutes. :( Now I'd probably crank out a 7:30 mile if I tried, but I just don't run anymore.

5:23 when I was a freshman in HS. After that I decided I'd rather run shorter distances and stuck to the 800 and 4x800.

fastest 3 mile was 18:09 in boot camp in 1986. 6:03 split but I probably added another 30 seconds because I cramped up in the last half mile. I would've quit if my DI hadn't yelled at me.

I just PR'd in the mile last Sunday. 5:17

I'll be 31 in a few weeks (5'11 120lbs). Most of you are posting PRs from your high school days. I didn't run in hs but I figure my mile times would've been around 9min.

other PRs (within last 2yrs)
5k = 17:58
10mi = 1:10:09
marathon = 3:05:44

future goals:
first sub-5min mile
17:30 or better 5k
first sub-3hr marathon next January in Houston

check out Houston Striders if you live in the area.

5:05 in high school gym class. never during a XC meet though.
my best 5k was like 19:11 , [my first mile was 6:12]. which is slow for most XC runners. [i think the course record was like 15:56]
[i basically ran to stay in shape for tennis season...]
[yeah my school didn't have very involved sports]

oh! where do you look up world records, because it's always been an ambition of mine to challenge the record for fastest mile while juggling three balls...
