Don't know my mile time, but I ran the first mile in a 5 mile race in 6:30...so I better be able to run at least a 6. But I'm a sprinter after all....<excuses><excuses>

Bull $hit. Why do you post such lies? The record for a freshman high school miler (1600) is 4:14.26 by Craig Miller. Nice try.

4:40 for me in high school.

Somewhere in the 7 minutes mark..which was actually really good for me cause I have crazy legs that aren't good for running..my calves are naturally too strong, so my thighs got really weak.

I can kick like hell though.

some really funny numbers here.

anyways I ran a 4:52 unoffical time (clocked by my coach with stopwatch on HS track). I had a few other 1 mile clocked times which were not as good, around 5m flat. Only 1 person faster then me and I was asked to run track alot but I played soccer and baseball. Also ran an unoffical 26 mile marathon in 2h50m. I beat my teacher that day who runs in the boston marathon every year. Also made myself sick (severe dehydration and muscle fatigue, was bed ridden for a week after that lol)

I used to run a 100m in about low to mid 12s which was pretty good but not amazing. Good enough to run for most HS track teams if I remember. Anyways the point is that my father and I were goofing around (I was about 16 I think) and I challenged my "old fart" of a father to a 100m run. At about 50 years old my father kicked my ass beating me in the 100m by as much as 10 feet. That humbled me alot of course. He may have been 50ish but he was still in good shape. When he was younger, he was a top sprinter, boxer, guard (basketball, used to play with Bobby Hurley Sr.) and had about a 32" verticle jump (most printers have great vertical's).

It's nice to hear the most sprinters can jump. My best 100 was somewhere in the mid to high 11's. I am only 5'4" which really pisses me off...this was as a freshman in college, and I hadn't run track before then since my sophmore year in high school. We had a good D3 team, with the fastest guy running a 10.55 or so (school record of course). I think if I had trained more, ran more, I could have knocked down my time to about the high 10's. I base that on the fact that I was still making leaps and bounds in improvement in time when I stopped running. I never ran the 100 again. I am trying to get back into sprinter while I'm young (26-27), so that I can find my potential, I would love to be able to hit a 10.75. I ran last week and pulled my hamstring for about a week after my first 40m...that's a high mountain to climb.

6 Something in elementary school (6th grade I believe). I won second place in this city race that they used to have. I believe it was something to get kids involved with running. Anyhow, the kid that beat me was another soccer player who ended being one of the best in high school. Unfortunatley, by HS I was in crappy shape.

Now I'm running 3 miles in 15 minutes... god what a long way I've go to go until I'm in any semblance of the shape I used to be.

Not sure, probably in the mid 7's. I'm no fast runner, never have been, but run consistently uphill for a few miles every other day or so (resting heart rate of 45). I don't ever feel a need to run 'fast' but I guess if my life dependend on it then I could do a better time.

cant run it at all, problems with knees/back mean no high impact since i was 8 years old (ignored that at times playing football..as in soccer...hehe...but never did proper running)

however i used to be able to walk like a dog with curry paste on its testicals ;-)

used to walk almost a mile (im going on imperial mile btw, not metric) from the station to my works building before we moved to another office.....i think it was around 1400-1500 yards...fastest i ever did it was 8mins 45 seconds.....im not kidding either. That was a couple of years ago and i was more streamlined..heh, atm i think i'd struggle to do the same thing in 15 mins...lol (put on weight, plus my probs increase each year)

5:53 in high school (ran JV X-country), a LONG, LONG time ago. If I can even run a mile these days, I would be pleased. :p
