Speeding while I was younger.

Man, if I had never sped, I would be about $3000~ richer with tickets and insurance costs.

How do you purchase speeding? 😕

A throttle body spacer for my Jeep a number of years ago. $50 worth of shiny metal that didn't do a darn thing.

You know, if I could get rid of this Russian mail-order bride... god damnit. NOT HOT!

You can turn them in on your birthday. If only it were your birthday.

Too bad I can't just turn them out and recoup my losses...

I'm not talking about the car itself, I'm talking of the population segment of owners, no offense to your father.

It's like a private joke between me and my sister. Someone does something remarkably stupid on the freeway... as we drive by, wouldn't you know it, simultaneously we go "Fscking camry!"

Really? Maybe Camry's are more popular in the states, here it's Corolla's that are everywhere and mostly driven by total idiots. Every second car is a Corolla, and where I work (the schoolboard) every woman drives a Corolla, and half the guys, it's like the number 1 choice for teachers.

Wait I can add another one on my dad's behalf.

Probably around $ 10,000 worth of R/C hobby airplanes, one of which was custom made in Germany, a replica of some glider. It's huge, has a motor that puts out a few HP to gain altitude. I think it's wingspan is close to 4 meters. Honestly when it's turned on the thrust it generates is insane. The first time he got it he tested it inside the house, well let's just say there was a bunch of broken stuff (vases fell down, paintings on the wall came off, table was flipped), it was like a hurricaine inside the house. I think he flew it a couple of times and now it just sits at home collecting dust along with all the others. I keep telling him to sell all that stuff on ebay and make a descent amount of cash, he's got some really cool models, some of which he custom built himself.

iPod video. Thing died on me about a month after the warranty expired. Had a Creative Zen for over a year now. Flash based + cheaper + FM Reciever + better (in all respects) screen + microphone + SD slot = win.

What a joke that was...

I bought a game called "Global Domination" for $20. You're supposed to be able to nuke other countries. I wanted to see bigass mushroom clouds. The gameplay was fucking terrible, the graphics were terrible. ~10 years later Defcon comes out and its 10x the game Global Domination was supposed to be.

It's kinda weird... some of the "dumbest" purchases I ever made were also some of my favorites. Take my old Audi A4 for example... It was fun as hell to drive, but the payments and repair bills were insanely high. If I just would have stuck with my old car and invested the money, I could have made a huge down payment on my condo instead of financing most of it.

Of course, that condo is worth about 20% less than I paid for it now. Perhaps that was my dumbest purchase instead!
