What is the best Pizza and/or Sub sandwich you've ever had and where did you get it?

I think the best sub sandwich I've ever had was from a small roadside stand just north of Rockford, Michigan. It's out on some back road (I wish I could remember the name of the road!) in the middle of nowhere in a small roadside stand type building. It had seating for about 10-15 in the front with a very small kitchen in the back but the sandwiches were F'ing HUGE and they were very cheap for as much as what you got. Heck, two people could eat very happily off one 12" sub and still end up full. I believe the place was called Vitalies or something like that. I was hungry and tried out the place on a recommendation of a friend of mine. Man, best sub I've ever had. Beats all the others I've tried by miles.

Pizza, eh. Can't touch the pizzas New Yorkers eat. 🙂 Everything around here tastes like reprocessed garbage. I'm giving a thumbs up to the entire state of New York on their pizzas. 🙂

EDIT: best pizza I ever had was from Mike's Pizza and Subs in Sturgis, MI...so much cheese you would literally choke

Dude, NYC pizza rules...

But the best I've ever had was a gourmet pizza that cost me $20, for a medium!!! But as stated, it was the best pizza I ever had so I don't feel that bad about it.

Sandiwich, I made it myself while at work (work at WaWa, for those that know what that is). Heated liverwurst with mustard and pepperjack cheese, thinly sliced, on a toasted hoagie roll... Mmmmmmm.....

So, your criteria for picking the best pizza is "if I choke on it, it must be good"?
 
Best pizza ever... EVER is from Franzone's in Conshohocken, PA... it's pizza, with a swirl. Swear there muct be crack in the sauce it's so addicting!

I don't like subs, so I have no idea where the best would be from.

LOL...no...but I love cheese...and they just piled it on...probably because the owner was my old bus driver and she hooked us up

 
So many good places, Deninos, Ginos (Villa Monte), Goodfellas, this little place Christinas and a few others...
 
Best sub is a chicken parm sub at cozzoli's. Best pizza would be... either the thick crust cheese pizza with tomatoes on top at Sbarro or a pepperoni pizza at Katz Deli.
 
The best pizza is Papa John's pizza! 😀

The best sub I ever had was a meatball sub from Earth, Wind, and Flour in LA. 🙂

In Miami near MDCC Kendall campus is a sub place called Hungry Bear. That place makes amazing subs.
 
Just north of Ft. Lauderdale is a hole called Wilton Manors. Go to Andrews Ave. and 43 St. and you will find the Cattlemans Deli. At least one full pound of meat and then come the fixins. Gag relex is extremely high after scarfing one of them babies down.But ohhh its so good! Especially in the S.Fla heat! Yummy!!!!!

There is this place in Petaluma called New York Subs and Pizza (or something real close to that). Anyways... They make the best Philly Steak ever. Nothing can compete to its perfectection. The cheese is melted over the pieces of fresh cut steak cooked to juicy perfection. There are green peppers and lettice mixed in with the melted cheese. The bun is toasted and crispy.... ohhh. Heaven in a sandwich.

nah there is a chain in OK called the hideaway, they have terrific pizza
chicken and olive oil and garlic sauce. muy bueno.
