Since everybody's musical tonight thought I'd contribute to the fray, what's the best live concert you've seen ?

My all time favorite live show has to be AC/DC !!!

<< Tie between: Tool/Bela Fleck and the Flecktones/Dream Theater. >>

I went to some big all day show at Foxbough with my daughter, one of those shake and bake in the sun all day deals, Tool was there Pantera and Creed.. great day but nothing beats the good old days of rock and roll at the Boston Garden

well i don't know if this counts...

but the best dj acts i've seen were..

BT doing a live PA
Oliver Twist at some little club
Dj Tiesto doing a sunrise set =)

I have seen so many bands its ridiculous. 😛

Saw Rob Zombie last week.. if I didn't have to sit through the living jokes known as "Sinistar" and "The Damned", It would have been a perfect 10. But there were enough near-nekkid femmes and explosions on stage to make up for it.

<< I would have to say either Aerosmith or Smashing Pumpkins. >>

Aerosmith is a great show too !

U2 - The Joshua Tree tour - Hoosier Dome, Nov. 1987
U2 - Outside Broadcast - Georgia Dome, Sept. 1992
Southern Culture on the Skids - Headliners Music Hall, Louisville, KY, May 2001

Radiohead, Bill Graham Theater, San Francisco, 1997
The Minutemen, 7th St Entry, Minneapolis, various times 1984-87
The Pogues, some bar in NYC, 1987

That must have been wickedly evil.

The Police at the Catalyst in Santa Cruz late 1970's right before the of debut of their first Album here in the States.

Weezer, 3/3/01 Yahoo Outloud Tour. First tour since their pinkerton tour. Small venue, it was awesome

<< Led Zepelin. >>

now that must have been good, can't remember why I didn't see them way back when, I must have been on one of my famous month long groundings 🙂

Ohh yeah how could I forget.. saw Goat Punishment (you Weezer fans know what I'm talking about) at the Viper Room one night.. stood in line for 9 hours to get in. Tiny venue (~200 people) and it was GREAT. AM Radio opened for them and they were pretty good too.

Rush: 2112 tour

Cleveland World Series of Rock: Journey, Areosmith, AC/DC(w/Bon Scott), Ted Nugent, Thin Lizzy, Brownsville Station. Cost in 1980 dollars--->$18

Toledo Speedway Jam II: Blackfoot, J. Giels, Heart, Thriumph(Thriumph was suppose to open, but they got there last and just about everybody left. It was like a private concert for like 1000 people)

Johnny Winter in a bar in Ann Arbor called the Second Chance(best bar to see a band ever; balcony with tiered seating for the tables)

Rainbow: Royal Oak Theater

SRV at Pine Knob with only about 1200 people in the audience

<< Johnny Winter in a bar in Ann Arbor called the Second Chance >>

Man I envy you. I'd love to see him live!

<< No Doubt 🙂 >>

ohtwell - where did you see them?

I just saw No Doubt at the Paramount in Seattle, they were amazing. Aside from them, Kid Rock was good in concert, so was Third Day (Christian band).

Nazareth was the warm up band

Didn't that drummer freak you out with all his foot work?

I saw REO Speedwagon in a big bar called the Center Stage in Canton, MI. Saw Humble Pie(Framptonless) there too.

Van Halen in 1982. There has never been, and never will be a frontman better than Dave. Better singers, yes. Better frontmen, no.

The Who in 1989. Best sounding concert I've heard.

AC/DC in 1997. Didn't expect them to be that good.

Guns 'n Roses in 1991....the longest concert they ever played....3 hrs, 45 minutes. Greensboro, NC. Played 'till damn near 2:00am.

Best concert by a band nobody's heard of:

Luxx, opening for Jason Bonham in '98. Very good. Hot singer, too. 😉
