Rush: Hold Your Fire tour
Steely Dan
Rolling Stones: Steel Wheels

EDIT: Almost forgot...Pink Floyd at Cleveland Stadium!

I missed Woodstock because I was too young but remember going off with my brother to some 3 day festival in Bull Island
Indiana, in 1972 the one band that sticks out in my smoke induced haze of the event was Black Oak Arkansa who tore the event up !

Jim Dandy to the Rescue indeed ! it was worth the rump kicking we got when we got home !!!

Hepcat at The Catus Club in San Jose
Rage Against the Machine at the San Jose State Events Center. I thought the building was going to fall down, people were going insane.
Fishbone at The Edge in Palo Alto

I also saw Metallica in concert twice with some free tickets I got. Pretty good shows.

U2 Zoo TV tour from '92, that was a great show (and I'm not that big of a U2 fan), Dead Can Dance, Gary Numan also good shows.

Z.Z. Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Who else could get away with a gigantic Confederate flag for a backdrop? 🙂

<< My only Rush concert!!! 15 minute drum solo! It doesn't get any better than that >>

how about a 45 min. John Bonham drum solo at a Led Zeppelin concert? of course I only wish I could have witnessed that, but unfortunately he died a few months before I was born, and thus the end of an era in Rock

as for the question, unfortunately I haven't seen many live shows since I live at least 4 hours away from any major city, but the best I've seen would have been one of the Dave Matthews Band concerts I saw last summer, the best would have been 5/12 in Houston

Was that the original Lynyrd Skynyrd ?

Oh.. you lucky bastard.

oh man, I've seen ZZ Top but miised Skynard, that show must have cooked !!!

Squisher
You got to see Thin Lizzy live..........WOW!!!! Phil Lynot died shortly before I would have been able to see them!!!

I saw Cro Mags and Motorhead!!!! (have seen Lemmy like 6 times, but this was best!)

Black Sabbath.... Heaven and Hell tour!!!

Ozzy......Diary Of A Madman Tour

Alice Cooper and Uriah Heap!!!

Anyone ever seen UFO live, they cancelled as Ozzy opening act of above tour, I never got to see them!!!!

Stone Temple Pilots/Chili Peppers!!

<< Didn't that drummer freak you out with all his foot work? >>

It was an amazing display. As far as ythe concert goes Billy Squire got his ass kicked, and that was at the height of his short rein.
The "old guys" in Nazareth just plain out played him and his band.

The KISS concerts we're an auditory and visual assault. Haven't seen anything like it since.

I'd give my left you know what to have seen Led Zepp. Damn!:disgust:

<< Van Halen in 1982. There has never been, and never will be a frontman better than Dave. Better singers, yes. Better frontmen, no. >>

I saw them just after their first album came out, probably 1979 or so. It *was* good. David Lee Roth was a wildman, very entertaining.

<< The Who in 1989. Best sounding concert I've heard. >>

They were the loudest band I have ever heard. It was almost painful.

Seth Bernard was awesome, but it may have been too small to consider a consert, and besides, none of you have ever heard of him, so...my vote goes to Bare Naked Ladies.

Saw them in St. Petersburg, FL for about $2, they put on a good show too!

LS was coming to my area, and we were all jazzed to see them, but as well all know, they didn't make it. Sad.

"Oooooh ooooh that smell. Can't you smell that smell?"

I saw Metallica and Armored Saint in a Night Club ( I think WASP was there also, can't remember). Metallica only got light applause!!!

Sir Fredrick

I have seen BNL live 3 or 4 times, they are one of the best live acts going!!! One word........Personality!!

U2's Elevation concert last April or Creed's Weathered concert (I didn't enjoy the U2 concert as much as I should have b/c I wasn't that big a fan at the time and I didn't feel too good) And I know most people here dislike Creed but their performance live was amazing - everyone singing along, on their feet.

Saw Elevation tour at Lexington, KY Columbus, OH Indianapolis and Las Vegas (got the credit card bills to prove it!!!, still paying them off!!)

ii would have to say its going to be the combination of the three upcoming dave matthews band shows in toronto ottowa and montreal, all of which i will be attending april 19, 20, and 21st

😉

The Crouching Fish, Hidden Finger Tour

Reel Big Fish, Goldfinger, Zebrahead, and homegrown all in one show.. w00t! 😀
