What's the best game you've played on PC this year?

Since I just replayed the old classic Thief, I'll vote for that. I haven't played many current games this year. I've never played a RTS, but I'm hoping someone will get my Company of Heroes for Christmas as I've heard great things.

I have no doubt next year though that it'll be Team Fortress 2. The original is still my favorite multiplayer game of all-time and it looks like they've kept the proper light-hearted tone for the next one as well.

p.s. Deus Ex is a classic! :thumbsup: One of the best PC games of all time and an awesome soundtrack. I'll have to dust my copy off and replay it.

Oblivion. And thats not really a good thing.
I am hoping 2007 offers more for me.

Actually, it might be Galactic Civilizations 2. I am a big fan of space conquest games and we havent had too many good ones in the past several years. I still load up Moo2 once in a while. Moo3 was a big letdown for me.
Also play Imperium Galactica 2 when I can.

Have you played the expansion for Thief II, TX2 - Shadows of the Metal Age?

although it is 'fan made' it is good as anything LG studios produced. ... top notch ... you play a female thief, the equivalent of Garrett and it ties in the Story between Thief II and DS.

Lmao, I was thinking the same thing. Heck I got more enjoyment out of Solitaire than I did BF2/2142. Those games just frustrate me to no end.

Oblivion was the only game I finished to the end so for 2006, that gets my top vote. I'd play again if my computer wasn't so old and didn't have to minimize the graphics settings.

My second vote would be Company of Heroes. Who doesn't like controlling a battalion of tanks and chasing after Nazis?

Company of Heroes gets my vote anyway. It's been depressing having the awesome hardware and no games

FEAR was pretty awesome too, but CoH just is so polished, well, it's more awesome.

Guild Wars too. I have to think its good to play for 100's of hours, right?
