Holy sh!t, that's down the street from where I live.

I live in Northbrook, intersection of Pfingsten and Dundee.

Well, I live maybe 5~10 min from you, then - since I live across the street in the subdivision across the street from Bob Chinn's . . . for now.

I dont think 10lbs is bulk..
My parents bought half a pig once :)
My grandparents had a ranch near the Badlands. One of the Park's buffalo kept getting out and they had to shoot it. They bought 1/4 of it buchered and it completely filled thier (very large) deep freeze. Good times.

Bah, grocery store ftw. 10lbs isn't bulk.

What do you need this beef for anyway?

And if you really need it in cubes, compacted, processed beef ftw.

Beef doesn't come in 10lb cubes... Your best bet is to go to a butcher and buy some roasts.

I know it doesn't.

But I've bought big packages of pork about the size of an alternator at the store.

I'm looking for something like that.

For some reason this really cracked me up.

I'm not looking for a cube of beef. Just looking for a big piece of uncut meat so I can cut my own slices without any leftovers.

I'm looking for something about the size of a car battery, and about the same weight.

I'm just hungry :(

Looking to spend at most $50 shipped.

Live in Illinois, so going to a farm isn't out of the question. I may even go to a farm since I'm going to go to UIUC, and pick it up there, what is a good price to ask a farmer?
10-20 lbs isn't really bulk meat, however you might be able to get a butcher to give you a small deal if that is the quantity that you are looking at.

The very minimum that I have seen is 1/4 cow however it was organic meat that can be purchase at the local farmers.

My sisters & I often purchase half a cow and have it divided into portions from the farmer to fit our freezers. Bulk organically free range cow cost about the same as the regular meat that you can get at IGA/etc? however the organic meat tastes much nicer and is better for you.
