I voted for Trump. Not because I thought he would make a great President, but because I knew Hillary Clinton would be a worse one. I will happily vote for someone else if I thought they would do a better job. Currently, I don't see such a person campaigning.

LOL, like I said, wall of silence.
To be fair, since he is a single issue voter, if Trump came out for legalized abortion, Atreus would be done with him. Still wouldn't vote Democrat, but wouldn't vote Trump either.

Why wasn't the DOJ able to support criminal charges for Hillary after all the investigations into her?

That's probably too much. A lot of people voted, and will vote, for Trump not because they're supporters but because they see the Democrat alternatives as worse. Going from being a Democrat to voting for Trump is a much longer path than it takes to see Trump as the greater rather than the lesser evil.

A more fair question would be "What would bring posters here to accept Trump as president, and stop agitating for his removal?"

He could start by firing Stephen Miller.

In what way do you consider trump better than hillary? I mean this with genuine curiosity. A friend of mine voted for trump in 2016 and his reasoning was he "simply couldn't trust hillary". i might not agree with that reasoning (....to put it mildly ;)) but that was my friend's reasoning.

Trump messes with their minds. It's what all con artists do & he's in a league by himself.

You forgot to include the most important question of all in the poll:
- would you still support Trump if he went out on 5th Ave and shot someone in the street?

Thats what Trump himself said about his supporters, that they'd all stick with him even if he did that.
Well, that's because he'd likely be shooting someone who's not a Real American, since we all know Real Americans only live in places where no one lives.

What about what he has done makes you think he has done a good job?

Yeah that's probably a good answer for him. Who knows, maybe he'll answer for himself.

But in my experience, this sort of question makes people who have irrational preferences and/or beliefs uncomfortable because the thought experiment takes them places they don't want to go. And answering the question commits them to things they know they can't commit to.

I'd probably consider not voting for Trump if he started caring about climate change.

Easy, I'll answer honestly provided you answer honestly what the last straw for the President would be for you

I don't fit neatly into "Trump Supporter", at least not in a way that translates into votes. I didn't vote for him in 2016 and probably won't in 2020 either.

So the poll isn't quite relevant to me.

Yang and Tulsi are the only two democrats I would ever vote for, if only they'd moderate on abortion.

Nice fishing gear.
Well I try to keep my feelings out of it..
I try to stick to things I can back up with figures or statistics, it keeps it real.
Things that actually affect me in my daily life.

For example, I wouldn't say something like trump always tells the truth...
Why? Because in my experience politicians are worse than lawyers, some suck less than other, but in general they all suck.
But that's opinion and dosent effect ,my family or my wallet.

People who voted for Trump did so because they hate themselves and want others to be miserable as well. There is nothing he could do that would make his voters turn against him except if he because a decent person and there is nothing he could do that would make me vote for him because he will never become a decent person. He put his whole being into being mentally ill.

He could start by firing Stephen Miller.
That's like trying to revive someone dying of thirst with three drops from an eye-dropper.

I knew the man was a fraud when I first watched "The Apprentice" almost two decades ago, promising myself not to waste time on it after a couple episodes. There are a lot of people who went to "bidness-school" -- ya know? People who read the Harvard bidnis-school bible on Human Relations? I think -- looking back -- that he "fired" Gary Busey because (1) Busey was successful as a B actor in B-rated movies, and Trump was turned down by USC film school, and (2) Busey has a similar mop of blond hair, but he has "big teeth". It had nothing to do with "bidniss" -- it was all about how Trump approaches people -- whether or not they're useful to him, and whether he has an ax to grind. The "ax to grind" can be some trivial thing that most would miss, but he acts on impulse and whim.

I knew he was a racist when the Birther Frenzy continued past a month or two of news coverage, and I heard Trump rant about it. Trump supporters are likely cluelessly in denial about this, with little understanding of it. But that's what underscored Trump's Birther obsession -- racism. And racism tracks through Trump's history like too much cheap perfume on an aging prostitute.

The malignant narcissism became apparent as I watched him throughout 2015 -- before the "real campaign" heated up the following year. I know this because I am a recovering narcissist.

This has nothing to do with "politics". It has nothing to do with "just hating Trump". Even so, any decent human being would hate Trump, but -- like Nancy Pelosi would insist -- they would call it something else.

So -- as "President" of my country? No. Not today, not tomorrow -- not ever.

AFTERTHOUGHT: Oh, yeah. I forgot to mention. HE'S A F***ING CRIMINAL! Too many different indications, too many dots that connect. As "Crime Scene Investigator" -- I'm convinced he's an arch-criminal, walking between the rain-drops of Justice throughout his rich, pampered life. Let him go through the legal process -- fine. Let them find "more convincing" evidence -- fine, too, because I'll bet my next monthly annuity check that they will. That's why McConnell and the other sycophants don't want to continue any "investigation". They know damn well that more facts will bubble up from the tar pits of Trump's behavioral and business past and present. Let them bet their ample Senatorial salaries that they won't.

That’s an interesting way to put it.

It's not all that interesting a way to put it. It's a blatantly obvious way to put it. No way in **** would Trump have ever been elected if the other alternative wasn't worse.

Another way to put it would be what would it take for you to believe OJ Simpson is innocent and the real killers are out there?

Most people wouldn't find any similarity at all between these two things but if it makes you happy to believe that, unlike a liberal I am content to let you believe what you want.
