Would the US come to Canada or Mexico aid?

I'm sure a furtherance of the monroe doctrine would take effect. While china is in no way a european power, there is no way we would sit still while it happans. Then again, we would be criticised either way by the rest of the world. Anytime we step into a conflict we get attacked, and anytime we dont we get attacked as well.

By 3rd world standards maybe. And not in large enough numbers to mount any sort of frontal assault. Subs are tactical weapons, their best use is interdiction, not invasion.

China could load up soldiers into the billions of containers coming to NA but they would all die on the trip.
