What was your recent traffic violation and what was the fine?

If you have gotten a ticket, list what you were written up for, how much the fines were and where the ticket was issued (city, state). I am curious to see how much the fines differ and for what obscene reasons, if there are.

85 in a 55. $120 fine. (Was actually doing 90+, but cop let me off with the max before court was mandatory.)

Haven't gotten one yet... Only had my license since August 14th of last year, though. Hopefully I can stay clean for another year, then I can get a ticket and not worry about losing my license for 30 days.

Disregarding a stop sign about a month ago. $92.50 was the fine but I paid $152 for the deferral to save my ass on insurance.

The guy could have got me for speeding too, I was going 65 in a 40 when I noticed the flashing lights but luckily he didn't.

Modified Smog Equipment: $821 fine ended up paying $541

::edit:: you said Traffic, my bad. Follwoing too close, gay ass CHP.

47 in a 30. Cop was really awesome and only gave me a $5 citation for not having my insurance card since I hadn't ever gotten a ticket before.

hmmm... more than 5 years ago (thank God)... speeding near Rochester, NY (ugh they are desperate for cash mid-upstate)... 77mph in a 65mph... think it was like $80.

So the $55.00 was to pay the officer to write you the ticket, right ? 😉 😕
