I lurked before I joined, but that was in the 90s. The big discussion was keeping butter in the fridge or on the table. When I actually joined, I think it was the nowheremom stuff.

So much drama over the years. FSFT iPod scams. Dennilfloss and the fake girlfriend he killed off. Traitors in OGame and other MMO browser games. Alternator-sized bulk beef. Neffing to achieve lifer status. Koenig and his cryptic roman numerals, Oly lifting, and American Gladiators tryout. The other OT forum hangout called The Porch or something. ATOT voice chat.

Oh they figured that one out. 3 weeks at room temp is safe due to pasteurization, high fat content, and salt:

we found the reports of an experiment that tested the presence of yeast, mold, and bacteria in butter left at room temperature. Over 21 days, butter was kept around 72℉ and inspected under a microscope. After three weeks, the lab reported that the butter had an increase in bacteria but was still within the safe zone to consume.

That about sums up my journey to ATHD then one day (almost a year later) I ventured into ATOT. Then some @olds guy lured me into the basement where I befriended CasioTech, PAB, yakko, Baked, MacBaine, PowerMac4Ever, Skoorb, etc., the rest is history. It's crazy to think how long ago that was, just after Y2K. Finally, I'm embarrassed to admit I spent so much time here it was basically an unpaid part time job, lol.

Sadly, I wasn't here to witness @ElFenix 100k post.
neither was i

pretty sure @zinfamous beat me there anyway

yep that's the original thread that started it all. My contribution was Alex Trebek just popped out of my air conditioner.

I was thinking about this awhile back. I was driving my highlander and a mouse popped up from around the wipers.(found a huge mouse nest in the third row seats) Was going to bump the thread, but search failed me.

Let us not forget the $400 jeans threads.

man, those jmapleton diesel and 7 for all mankind jean threads cracked me up every time

that was 10-15 years ago when it was cool to wear skinny jeans that you could barely fit into, which made it all the more funny

I was curious and it looks like some of those jeans are only $200 now (I don't really know if they had lower priced offerings at the time, because why would I pay hundreds for jeans?)
