In Southern California, on a saturday afternoon, if you timed it just right and were lucky, Cal Worthington and his dog Spot could be found on channels 2-4-5-7-9-11 and 13, simultaneously. That was one of the finest examples of blanket marketing ever. Cal was and still is one crazy mofo.

My wife and went out to breakfast on Sunday, and there were a couple of out of control children in the resturant. My wife was commented that there should have been a public ass whooping happening but alas today's children seem to control their parents 🙂.

 
Reasonably-priced electronics that didnt require agreeing to a lenthy legal contract and two or more years of indentured servitude to a company that makes billions of dollars yet cant stay in business without government support, which actually comes from our tax dollars anyway.

I actually saw that on Fox one random Saturday morning a few weeks ago. They recycle some of the good old stuff on occasion. Now if only Disney would release it's rights to the 90s X-Men cartoon, we'd be golden. 🙁

Being able to play tag and dodgeball at school. Being able to play guns in the woods. Being able to ride bikes without looking like a football player. Metal playgrounds. Tackle football. Being able to draw pictures of explosions without the school calling the police. The feeling of freedom and not living in a nanny state.

Indeed, and they do still have them. My girlfriend just gave me one last night and was surprised to see them still around.

Going to agree with singing along with a modem, donno how many times I did that to annoy my parents.

Wasn't just Southern CA, he was on in the Bay Area also.
