cancer research scientist at the biggest pharmaceutical company in the world. testing/experimenting with cancer drugs to have it cleared for clinical trials.
Heh, I used to work for Smithkline-Beecham...but in a much different way than you.Lemme guess...your company has a "z" in their name?
Pfizer is voted one of the top companies to work for. They don't only rank in salary either. Pharmaceuticals is lots-o-cash. I worked for a pharmaceutical company only 3 months when I switched to IBM (strange career path, I know) and they still compensated me for a whole year's worth of vacation pay among other things. I was like... whoa, I'm coming back if IBM doesn't pan out.Stick with it huey. No matter what the economy is like, health care is where it's at.

yeah, no matter what the economy is like, people will always get sick. since the employer will pay for 100% tuition and books with no limit, i plan on getting either MBA or Master's in regulatory affairs sometime in the future, taking classes evenings and weekends.

There are a lot more people here with non-computer type jobs than I would have guessed.
Even some folks that actually *gasp* work with their hands.
Always have, always will!
It's a LOT easier than working with my brain. (such as it is!!)

That sounds like a cool job. What kind of animals?

I spent 30+ years as a Field Tech for IBM. I think I would just wither up if I had to work in an office or a cube farm.
