afaik FEAR was the only game where you could see yourself.FPS and invisible feet.

If we're specifically talking about FPS games, I'd have to say progression. BF2 was beautiful. You could rank up and there were some rewards, but a newbie had just about as much power as a veteran.
Then BF3 came along and you have unlock 50,000 little things like TV missiles. It's absurd.
Crysis does it also. Not a FPS but Outlast did it tooafaik FEAR was the only game where you could see yourself.

Absolutely agree. Also not being able to rebind the keyboard to my liking. Once again, this wasn't an issue in most of the "older" games! (At least not the ones I played.)Check point saves. Give me back old school PC game "I can save wherever the hell I want" save feature __________________
