Altho I have pretty good system (see below) I am still in the dark ages b/c I use 800X600. @85hz

I like 1024, but it's just too damn small for me (I have a 17" monitor", and sit back when I type.) and I really rather strain my eyes, and then need glasses.. Yet, 800 is sooo big. I wish they has one in-between.

Now, for gaming and what not, I def prefer 1028, but for daily browsing, and IRC I need 800.

800x600@16 bit on IBM p70 and Voodoo 3 3000. Both support higher, but i'm comfortable with my current settings.

Yea, but look at your picture...you wear glasses lol.. I would like to avoid that. ( not that people who have to wear them look bad, just I would. :)

1024x768 @100 Hz on a 17" NEC E750. Hmm.. What is the recommended viewing distance away from the monitor?

Well, they say you should be at least 4' from the monitor.

I just changed to large fonts.. it helped a little.. but still to thin and small.. *sigh*

I need a bigger monitor. lol.

I was running 1920x1440, but the 72Hz refresh was hurting my eyes. I've dropped down to 1600x1200
