Although I don't believe in a lot of the things the church says (like no condoms ect)

I think that makes you "not a catholic." ;)

i don't think anyone has a problem with the fact that catholics are against gay marriage. the problem lies more with the fact that many religious feel the need to force the rest of the country to live by their religious beliefs (read: constitutional amendment)

I have been practicing Zen Buddhism, which I hate mentioning because there are so many people who claim to do that as a flavor of the month thing and I'd rather not be associated with them.

I try to never trash other Religions, however all seem to have their share of nutballs.

I am not religious, and I am also VERY much against forcing one's beliefs on others.

We're voting on the marriage ban thing here in GA next Tuesday. I'm sure it will pass with flying colors.

I actually wasn't aware that'd be on the ballot; thanks for the heads up, I'll be sure to look out for it. I doubt my vote will matter against the majority down here, but I'll cast it anyway.

As far as my religion: I'm catholic. I like some of what the religion advocates, and don't agree with other aspects. I sort of pick and choose what suits me best.

Im supposed to be a hindu, but I never have visited a temple for like 12 odd years, I hate hinduism, as a matter of fact I hate all the religions. I am not an aethist, but I make my own rules and I have my own ideologies which I consider as a 'hybrid' religion.....

call me crazy.

So are you characterizing the average everyday catholic parishioner as part of that group? There are far more Catholics that just a few Bishops and Cardinals. In fact the real victims were the Catholic parishioners. If you are referring to the entire body of Catholicism as "group of people that knowingly employs and protects child molestors." than you are actually including the victims as responsible parties to their own assaults. If that the case then i would definately call you crazy
