A64 2800+ [Clawhammer, Socket 754]
I keep thinking - some day, I will get serious about editing video. For the past few months, the only applications I've been really using are Final Draft 7 (screenwriting) and Office 2003. I guess I will upgrade when I HAVE to upgrade.

Currently an Athlon 1 gig with a busted HD :/
So, I guess it's the 800 MHZ pentium in my lappy.

My AMD 64 X2 6000 is in the mail. 🙂

4000+ socket 939.. it's close to FX-57 speeds.. so I'm pretty happy.

maybe 1-2 years from now I'll do a whole computer whole upgrade to the quadcores :]

Currently, I'm running a 939 AMD X2 4200+ in my main rig.
I'm waiting for the Q3 price drops & Barcelona launch before I upgrade. When I do upgrade, I'll be going the quad core route to improve my Supreme Commander performance.

Hi alll... I'm new here, may be I could get wider my perspective by joining this forum..

Right now I have my P4 640 @3Ghz (default) & currently planning to built another rig (still confused between C3D or X2)

A Core2Duo E6400 @ anywhere between 2.93GHz and 3.73GHz.
I also have an old Pentium 4 3.0 GHz Prescott Socket 478.

hmmm let see

My primary rig is a oc'd E4300@2.66Ghz

My server is a A64 3000+@2.87Ghz skt 754

My other rigs on my network have the following CPU's

Pentium 4 3.06@3.45ghz Northwood skt 478
Pentium 2 3.0@3.4 Prescott skt 478
AXP 3000+@2.33Ghz Barton Skt A
AXP 2800+ T-bred B skt A
Pentium 3S 1.4ghz skt 370
K6-3+ 550 skt 7
K6-2+ 550 skt 7

Disappointed in the lack of PIII 800 mHz Coppermine. Although, seeing as this is an enthusiast's website, not many people probably own one of these 😛. Upgrading to a Core 2 when i get my new laptop (hopefully a 800 mHz FSB w/ a Bearlake chipset and a DX10 card).
Found it funny that FSB on Core 2 Bearlake = the clock speed of my old temporary PIII.

seems like the c2d's have pulled farther ahead of the 939-x2's...
although amd leads intel overall...
