E6600 for my "build-in-progress" [currently testing components in a bare midtower chassis.]

Until I can fully implement my cooling solution, I run it variously at 3.24 Ghz, 3.0 Ghz, and 2.8 Ghz.

The motherboard provides an ability to save two BIOS "profiles" in the BIOS flash memory, and select them from the BIOS setup menu. So right now -- 3.0 Ghz while I see how much more I can tighten the memory latencies.

Also running a 3.4E Prescott at 3.7 Ghz, a P4 3.06 (533), a P4 2.533 (533), a 1.8A P4 (400), and a P3-750.

Seems I'm not the only one sitting this year out... AM2, and Core Duo's using DDR2(high latency, and high price), Not to mention, very little is using the dual core's yet. Figured my Athlon X2 4.6 will cut it through next year, and I'll get a GREAT upgrade, using a DDR3 Platform. Maybe by then Vista will have a service pack out, and I'll need a 4Ghz chip with 4Gig of ram... Until then XP does the trick. Until next year, comfortable with what I have....

Pretty rare chip, top of the line for socket A, too :)
But beaten by overclocked XP M's ;)

My main rig atm still has an XPM @2.48GHz :)
Going C2D soon.

X2 4200+ in my main rig
A64 - 3500+ (Windsor) in my MCE 2005 box
Sempy64 - 3200+ in my NAS
P4-M 1.6 in my laptop

Got a C2D e6600 on the way though so I'm debating what to do with the old components, cascade down or sell and refit my MCE box with C2D components when I go Vista Home Premium this fall... decisions, decisions.
