It's Alive (197x date)- prolly saw it when I was 9 or 10 on TV. A couple days later I got home from school and discovered I didn't have the housekey. So, being resourceful, I decided to go thru the 'crawlspace' under our house thru a little open vent section (I was real small back then lol). Then it would be a quick crawl/crouch about 20 feet, push open a panel, and I was in.

Unfortunately, about halfway in (headfirst mind you) I heard these..........noises........and I SWEAR TO GOD it sounded just like that freakin' baby sounded in the movie!

There I was, halfway thru the vent, looking into pitch black, and I'm hearing these noises. Not.good.at.all. I think I was screaming something like 'Vampire Baby! Vampire Baby!' to my sisters outside lol.

I still dont know what it was to this day. Since the vent 'cover' was missing, maybe some cats or something took up residence under there (it was just a dirt floor anyhow). But yeah, that left a rather nasty impression that I can still look unfavorably upon to this day.

Oh, and 'Dont Be afraid of the Dark'. Those little alien bastards gave me the heebee jeebees for a while. My sisters watched it too, and later they would whisper my name from across the room to freak me out......gah!

Jaws when I was a little kid. I was afraid of even the bathtub after that. I can still remember snorkeling in the ocean, in a huge school of little fish. Big fish were darting through the little school, presumably having lunch. The image of Jaws coming up from underneath someone suddenly hit me as I realized "hey, this is the food chain. I'm not the top out here." I spun around and swam back to shore.

Probably the original "Night Of The Living Dead". Watched it for the first time when I was about 12. It was being shown on a Friday night Creature Feature event uncut for the first time on TV. The parents were out for the evening and it was just me and my 10 year old brother. It was raining with thunder and lightning that evening also.

Probably Nightmare on Elm Street. Maybe Return of the Living Dead 2. No movie ever really got to me bad. I used to somehow have recurring nightmares about Castlevania 2... but even those weren't that bad.

Ehh, I saw quite a few R rated movies when I was a little guy as that's all my dad watched and I watched movies with him a lot in the those days.

I guess probably Evil Dead is the most memorable as I can remember being scared from that when I was around 5 or 6. I also remember The Shining from when I was very small.

Never really got shocked or scared from any of the slasher films.. Texas Chainsaw Massacre didn't shock me, nor did any of the Freddy Kruger movies.

Poltergeist. The scene with the dead people in the pool really freaked me out. Did not go in a pool for a while after that.

Fire in the Sky.

When I was a kid, maybe 8 or 9 years old, I used to see the previews all the time on the Preview Channel. I used to be terrified/mystified by aliens, so I had to see it, but was never able to catch it. Finally after seeing the preview countless times, I saw that it was coming on at like, 8 PM on a Sunday night. I begged my parents for so long to let me stay up and watch it. They were quite reluctant, but they caved.

Scared. Shitless.

I didn't sleep well for months, maybe even years. It was absolutely terrifying. I watch it every once in a while now, and even to this day, it's a pretty disturbing film. I've recommended it a few times over the years, and every time they tell me they found it to be pretty scary.

Aliens scared me quiet a bit when I was really young. I had to run past the room to not see it, if my dad was watching it. Had to be 8ish years old.

well lets see. Exorcist most for sure. The original Hills Have Eyes creeped me right out.
Alien. not so much scary as the suspense in that movie..edge of your seat think you are going to have a heart attack kind of stuff.

weirdest movie. cant remember the name of it but it was in a "frankenstein" theme. some scenes i remember involved a huge pair of scissors that cut off peoples heads and blood a spurting. Another scene was the mad doctor fornicating with a female corpse..she is surgically cut breast bone to pubic bone. he has his hand inside (the cut) and says something along the lines of fukking the life into a gallbladder.
