Her biggest problem is that she wasn't ready to answer the tough questions about foreign policy that the media was going to throw at her.

But I guess if you started asking Obama, McCain or Biden detailed questions about a state budget they would have given the same non-answers she gave on foreign policy.

So your argument here consists entirely of 'at one point in time, the people of the state of Alaska liked her a lot.'

at the same point in bush's term as president (16 months or so) he had roughly similar approval ratings. Just saying.

anyways can we stop having endless repeats of this thread concept?

Well of course they do, if you took a big corporate windfall tax from big oil and gave every resident a big ole tax refund (all the while taking in more federal tax dollars per capita), most people would be happy too. IIRC, Alaska has a negative income tax rate because of this. Of course though, McCain and Palin are against corporate windfall taxes when mentioned by Obama. Do as I say, not as I do, lol.

The only failing of Sarah Palin is that there was a left-wing comedian on NBC that looks a lot like her.

Buwhahaha!!! LOL!

As far as SNL is concerned, that's the best thing about Palin, since it's sent their ratings through the roof. Other than that, she is an epic fail (a pander to the far right base). The ole gal is a true "Maverick", lol!

Maybe that's why the GOP and McCain won't let her do interviews.

In this article, she complains about not being allowed to speak more often. Other than the obvious enjoyment from watching repugs act like cornered, feral cats, I wonder what mccain thought he was getting in this package. I could see that she was far, far out of her league after seeing the interview where she was ruminating about the job of vp. The only quality she has is spewing accusations that only a loyal reader of the national enquirer could swallow.

Your response is exactly what I was referring to. To borrow an expression, she was typecasted before we got to actually know what she is all about.

The empty shell underneath those expensive clothes was apparent before the first snl show. What wasn't apparent was just how bad she was. Not all of this could have been missed by mccain and indicates that he doesn't think much of america.

If McCain, rightful heir to the presidency, loses to Obama, history undoubtedly will note that he was defeated at least in part by his own besotted impulse to discount the future. If he wins, he must be credited with having correctly calculated nature's power to befuddle.

Seriously, I have to wonder myself. A pretty girl has been known to turn my head, and make me strange things.
Was John thinking with the wrong head?

McCain wasn't thinking. Thinking is something he doesn't always do very well these days. Can't say about the past but the past doesn't matter when it comes to picking a president. McCain is by no stretch of the imagination the "rightful heir to the presidency," (nobody is!) and I have to wonder how someone can get that printed in the Washington Post.
