She is the most popular governor in the country, must have been doing something right.
She replaced a guy with sub 30% approval and at one point had an approval of over 90%.
Her biggest problem is that she wasn't ready to answer the tough questions about foreign policy that the media was going to throw at her.
But I guess if you started asking Obama, McCain or Biden detailed questions about a state budget they would have given the same non-answers she gave on foreign policy.

So your argument here consists entirely of 'at one point in time, the people of the state of Alaska liked her a lot.'

The only failing of Sarah Palin is that there was a left-wing comedian on NBC that looks a lot like her.

The only failing of palin is when she opens her mouth to speak.
In this article, she complains about not being allowed to speak more often. Other than the obvious enjoyment from watching repugs act like cornered, feral cats, I wonder what mccain thought he was getting in this package. I could see that she was far, far out of her league after seeing the interview where she was ruminating about the job of vp. The only quality she has is spewing accusations that only a loyal reader of the national enquirer could swallow.Originally posted by: Engineer

Maybe that's why the GOP and McCain won't let her do interviews.

Buwhahaha!!! LOL!
As far as SNL is concerned, that's the best thing about Palin, since it's sent their ratings through the roof. Other than that, she is an epic fail (a pander to the far right base). The ole gal is a true "Maverick", lol!
McCain wasn't thinking. Thinking is something he doesn't always do very well these days. Can't say about the past but the past doesn't matter when it comes to picking a president. McCain is by no stretch of the imagination the "rightful heir to the presidency," (nobody is!) and I have to wonder how someone can get that printed in the Washington Post.Originally posted by: techs

If McCain, rightful heir to the presidency, loses to Obama, history undoubtedly will note that he was defeated at least in part by his own besotted impulse to discount the future. If he wins, he must be credited with having correctly calculated nature's power to befuddle.
Seriously, I have to wonder myself. A pretty girl has been known to turn my head, and make me strange things.
Was John thinking with the wrong head?
