Pomodoro with ground beef, pork sausage, portuguese smoked bacon, assorted veggies. Served with spaghettini and garlic bread.

Yesterday I made a pork loin roast with potatoes, carrots and onions. It was great.

for dessert I made brownies. 😀

I just recently started making post roasts in my insta pot...

For my first one (not really knowing what I was doing) got a pork shoulder roast instead of a beef chuck roast but it turned it pretty good. I then did a beef (can't remember what cut but it wasn't a chuck roast), followed by a chuck roast...Out of those 3, I definitely liked the pork shoulder roast the best...just some beef broth, carrots and potatoes with it...

Here's a pic of that first pork shoulder one...1675056043141.png

the IP can be hit or miss when it come to roasts. I prefer to do the veggies separately from the roast in the IP. I cook the roast first then use the liquid to cook the veggies. They only take 5 mins or so.

You can also make good pulled pork in IP: https://recipeteacher.com/best-damn-instant-pot-pulled-pork/

cooked it in IP with pork ribs and stomach, added assorted fishballs and thinly sliced pork afterwards and served with udon.

Agreed! Lets keep this thread going. I love this thread because I like to see what other members are preparing in their kitchens. It kinda helps give me some ideas and inspiration for what I want to make next in my kitchen.

Soooo.....meat was back on the menu tonight boys! Smoked mutton, smoked pork shoulder, and smoked ribs done Korean BBQ style.

in case anyone is interested in making IP spaghetti, and it was absolutely delicious, here it is:

1. 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine and about 2 tablespoons of oil into the bottom of your IP

2. set it to saute and wait for the oil and butter to bubble

3. put in your vegetables. I used about a cup of frozen diced veggies from my store. It has onions, celery, green and red peppers and carrots.

4. stir the veggies as they saute until fairly soft. about 3 mins or so depending.

5. once they are soft add 3 cups of chicken or veggie broth or if you don't have any you can add water (like I did).

6. add around a pound or 2 of frozen or thawed meatballs. I used nearly 2 pounds - around 25 meatballs.

7. add about a tablespoon or so of Italian seasoning, about a teaspoon of black pepper, a teaspoon of seasoning salt and some hot sauce for an extra kick. I added a tablespoon or so of Cholula Chili Garlic sauce.

8. add around a cup or so of marinara sauce or pasta sauce. I used around half a can of Hunts Thick & Rich 4 cheese sauce.

9. add 1lb of spaghetti. You'll have to break it in half for it to fit, sorry. Make sure you do not stir it in. Just put it on top and gently push a bit to submerge as much as possible. It's OK for some to be above the liquid.

10. Put the lid on and set it to sealing. Hit cancel on the IP and then press Pressure Cook or Manual depending on your model. Set it to 7 minutes. When done let it sit for 5 mins to naturally release. Then fully release the pressure. Press cancel on the IP.

11. once the lid is removed, stir everything up good. There should be some liquid still there. After stirring add the rest of the marinara or pasta sauce.

12. you can add some shredded cheese of you want.

13. stir it up for a few mins and then let it rest for 5 - 10 minutes before serving.

Hey sometimes it turns out right and some times it doesn't. It ain't always have to look like the pictures but as long as it tastes good.

I have to admit the stock photo vs your photo did make me laugh.

Mine taste fine, cilantro would make it better. I still have more pork belly and steamed buns so I guess I'll get some cilantro today.

Hey @sdifox what kind of seasoning profile did you use on the wings? I want to try an replicate these to eat when the games on tonight.

Those are thighs :colbert:

And it's too late, I marinade for like three days.

That is the base, I add onions, carrots, black pepper, garlic, green onion, sesame oil and honey.

This one was wings, but again multi day marinade.

This is the sauce.
