What kind of home suround system do you have?

I just have a 19" TV. I guess this is as good a place as any to ask a question though. How long til we have Surround sound speakers with Wireless capabilities. I'd like to get a new TV (Looking at a Samsung 50" DLP) a good DVD player and some nice speakers but the wiring looks like it just gets in the way. Sub, Front 2, Back 2 and Front Middle speakers.
 
Cheapo system but does the trick

Crown amp is good for 2500w at 4 ohm bridged. Also have a dedicated 30amp circuit just for that amp.

So:

4200w total power for speakers
2500w total power for subwoofer

I have a Dynaco SCA-80Q 4-dimensional integrated amplifier.

Circa the '70s.

30Wrms from 20hz to 20,000khz. Blows modern consumer garbage rated at twice the wattage out of the water.
 
Nice Onkyo system in the living room; Onkyo receiver, and 5.1 matched speakers.
And, my son has a lesser expensive Onkyo system in his bedroom for the x-box, etc.

Me and my dad are seriously thinking about upgrading though. First we want to refinish the basement (it'll cost ~$100,000 lol), and then we want to buy...

Yep, the Adcom is surprisingly good, even compared with some of the tweaky brands. It's a lot of performance for the money.

Interesting. In a few months, I'm going to replace my Definitive mains with some McIntosh speakers....probably the LS 360's....or I might buy some older XRT 22's....not sure yet.
I'd love to acquire some more McIntosh amplification, but that Adcom sounds interesting.

Seriously. An old client of ours used ti swear by it, but it was small time stuff. The guy had vacum tube this and that, but I guess I didn't have that in mind.

If definitely sold me on the brand. Now hearign that the heavyweights are using them makes me all the more comfortable in purchasing one in the future.
