I admit, v5 is the best looking itteration.

As for the cables in the current setup, I found that having them "float" over the carpet by carefully "positioning over the fibers and laying them at a 90 deg angle with the wall, and putting little cookie crumbs under them achives an increase of 4dB SNR and 100dB of Bullsh!tometrics

my setup I got dirt cheap but its very good imo.

2 Optimus LX10 Di-pole tweater Main Towers 40 bucks for the pair new
3 Optimus CS5 ? Di-pole Tweater Center Channels. using two as my sorounds 75 for all 3

these were the last of when Radioshack had good speakers, and these were very highly rated for there time and this would of been almost a grand in speakers new. thankfully I found some managers stash one day when he was out of town and scored all 5 speakers on extreme closeout.

then I got a parts Express Dayton 10" sub woofer

and an oldish 5.1 pioneer receaver.

tv was a 32" Sony Wega but that was DOA after my last move :(

but i'm currently working on building a DIY projector so I should have that coverd soon

Receiver: Harman Kardon AVR 335
Speakers: Paradigm Studio 60's
Subwoofer: SVS 25-31 PC+
TV: Mitsubishi 50" Projection

Sometime in the future I'd like to get the CC and rears, but that's another $500-$600 for the CC alone plus the rears! :Q

Acoustic Research AR12 (12" 120w sub)
Toshiba Cinema Series 27" TV

I've also got my computer hooked up via S-Video and Digital Optical (Toslink) Audio cabling. It's pretty sweet playing mp3's off winamp in DTS:Neo6(.2) not to mention playing anything on the TV in surround off the computer.

Does the job.

Nice system. Your "mid-entry" is probably the most expensive here.
