iPhone 3GS 8/10 - It's damn good, but battery life is actually worst than my 3G iPhone was. The 3.0 update messed up how the iPhone interfaces with my car. Hopefully 3.1 will fix that. Lack of flash, running more than one app at a time, and the camera keep it from a higher score.

at&t 6/10 - The quality of service has really dropped as far as data goes. I can have 3-4 bars of 3G at work, and the phone will do nothing. Call quality is still great though. Summer is almost over, so where is MMS?

HTC Touch Pro (Alltel) 7/10

This device is plagued with faulty keyboards, cracked chrome, and cutting audio. Some people are on their 7th or 8th replacement. Some are lucky enough to get a TP2 as a replacement. The phone is sluggish at times and the fact that HTC still doesn't have proper video drivers is disgraceful. But what the phone *does* do it does very well, and I like the TF3D (TF3D2 from the TP2 on mine) interface.

Alltel: Used to love them, now a solid 1/10. They sold me to ATN networks. Some random roaming network that operates primarily in the Caribbean that wants a presence in the US. If they even attempt to change my plan I'm leaving. That simple.

Nokia N82 8/10: Slow for today, but the Xenon flash is unbeatable. Let's see YOUR 5MP camera phone do this well. This is one of the top camera phones in the market, and while the N97 can edge out a bit in daytime performance, the N82 is still king all around because of low light awesomeness.

I wish I had great MS Exchange support on this phone though. MfE and emoze don't really qualify as great e-mail readers.

iPhone 3GS 8/10: Terrible battery life. Plus the fact that I have 8 pages of iPod Touch apps doesn't help. I ditched this phone because I don't want to start gaming on it and making calls. I'd have to charge every 3 hours.

Plus 3 MP camera is outdated. It might be pretty good but I remember spring 2006 when the Sony Ericsson K800 came out with its 3MP + Flash. Come on.....

LG Voyager 4\10: Crappy touchscreen, the horrible browser constantly resets the phone, I'm on phone number 7 or 8 now because of multiple issues.

Verizon's service: 8\10: Coverage practically everywhere, but could be a bit cheaper.

I have the Voyager right now too, and I'm so sorry. Per chance did you see my review here in the Gadgets section of the forums before you bought it?

HTC Touch Pro 2 (T-Mobile) WinMo 6.5 NRG ROM / Manila 2.1

Best phone I've ever owned, can't wait till they iron out all the bugs in the roms in the coming months.
I think all carriers will have this one by late November.

iPhone 3G

9 very happy with it, if it could record videos that would be sweet. Not worth upgrading to the 3GS for me yet. I'll upgrade to the next gen iPhone if it's out next year.

Phone: Blackberry Tour 9630, just got last week. So far, a 8 out of 10. Solid platform, a good variety of apps (buisness and fun stuff), and unbeatable email. I do admit, having used a touchscreen device of one type or another (pda or phone) since 2001, I am having a little touchscreen withdrawl. Sometimes I touch the screen, get mad, and remember I dont have a touchscreen anymore.

Network: Alltel (for now). Currently, still a 10/10. My area is being sold to AT&T and we dont seem to be having the transitional type problems non divested or even some divested areas are having. Because of the sale, they gave me a new phone at a two year price with only a 1 year contract, I couldnt turn that down. I do fear the comming of AT&T, though I do admit I would like to try an Iphone.

HTC Touch Diamond 8/10 (with the right ROM)
This is a Windows Mobile phone and is capable of doing everything that an IPhone does. My biggest complaint at the moment is that I'd prefer a larger screen and am hoping I can upgrade to the Diamond2 or Touch Pro2 when they're available. I'm currently using EnergyROM 'Warhawk' by NRGZ28 and this ROM makes it feel like a completely different phone. It's super responsive and loaded with useful apps.

Sprint 7/10
I haven't had any problems with their service and it's cheaper than Verizon and AT&T. My only complaint is that I missed out on the SERO plan that people are bragging about.

Try flashing a custom ROM on it. There are many out there that will remove the sluggishness. I'm using one right now based on WinMo 6.5 (NRGZ28's EnergyROM).

 I want this phone. My obstacle is that I want to get it for a reasonable price and I'm only 1 year into my current Sprint contract.

Also, the latest rumor is that Verizon is going to offer this for $199.99 with a contract on 9/11. Hopefully this will cause other carriers to lower their cost of entry. :)

Edit: Link to article detailing Verizon's upcoming prices and $200 TP2.

Well, it is pretty silly that it has taken Apple and AT&T this long to implement MMS on the iPhone, but as someone who has never used it, I don't really care and I would much rather have it be this way than have MMS but be forced to use a resistive touch screen like some phones still have.

Of course, those who really wanted it Jailbroke their phone, and have it already. I just hate being lied to.:p

8/10 Motorola Adventure v720, simple flip dumbphone, but it has rubberized buttons and rugged construction while still being fairly thin, and the battery life rocks

9/10 Verizon, the pricing could be better, texting especially. Also, i would like to be able to tether my phone without paying $60/month for the privilege. Otherwise, the reception is king, I have never had a dropped call (except when driving right past a tower), and the clarity is good.

I've had the following phones over the last 6 months,

iPhone - 8, didn't like not having a keyboard and at&t is horrible.

Lg Versa - 3, qwerty keyboard is hard and the touch screen is unresponsive.

Blackberry Storm - 5, Buggy phone had to have it replaced twice for screen problems.

env Touch - 7 Good phone, could use a little more firmware work.

env 3 - 8, the one i'm using now. Works great just not very exciting and the broswer is gimped.

Overall since leaving the iPhone I have been unable to find a phone that I am pleased with. It is really to sad that at&t's service is horrible where I'm located.

I am thinking of picking up the Touch Pro 2 on Friday. Going to wait and see if Motorola announces their Android phone tomorrow.

The multitasking is awesome, the physical keyboard isn't too small for me, web browser is actually usuable, youtube app works great, palm profile (contacts and apps) auto backup is a plus, and the camera takes decent quality photos. I get great service with Sprint in my area, so i never have issues with coverage and the internet is fast. The weak spots on this phone are the battery and additional storage options.
I played a Pre at the Sprint store and didn't like the feel of the keyboard. It felt way too hard to use compared to the Blackberry Tour.
