What is work going to be like for you on Friday, Dec. 23rd?

Things are already slowing down in my office. Both of the resident partners are already gone for the weekend. I only have one appearance next week to prepare for. I have done too good of a job clearing the deck around here.

Even the crazy opposing attorneys are not hassling me today.

I foresee a very slow day tomorrow.

Working from home. Not much to really do tomorrow except perhaps VPN into a client's network and work on the new VMware hosts I'm setting up for them.

A joke. Not sure why I'm coming in, oh well. I'll just screw around all day and nef.

Most of management took the day off. I am new and have no vaca. Soooooo......

Office party at 1pm, and before that I will probably be visiting a supplier to renew a contract...that's probably it.

Working a normal day. Most of the clients *should* be out of the office and since my queue is light, I'm probably going to have a very slow day.

Not really sure what to expect. I predict 4 hours of sitting at my desk with 5 hours of wandering the halls and chatting/eating/drinking.

Sunday and Christmas - Do you get triple time for that?

Not sure why they would pay extra for working a regularly scheduled shift. It will be only time and a half (holiday pay) unless I also get overtime. They'll probably replace me on a day later in the pay period to avoid OT. Them's the breaks.

Part-timers on-call can't turn down two offered shifts without losing their job and don't even get holiday pay. Filling in on holidays is considered one of the primary functions of their job, thus, it's something they don't get paid extra for. I've also heard that you can't "shift" your holiday and that you don't get holiday pay if you took the scheduled day before or the scheduled day after off.

Yeah, security sucks. I might as well try to load up on holiday hours by calling the office and seeing if they need me somewhere other than my site if no one on my site calls off (one already said he would) or if they don't use me to fill.

We get either Friday or Tuesday as a holiday (in addition to Monday), so I'm taking it off. Woohah, back to back four day weeks with a four day weekend!

Super quiet; it's already very quiet here and an impromptu wine party has started up right outside my office, so I imagine it will be like that all day tomorrow.

Markets close at the same time tomorrow, but the office is closing early, so we should all be out at a decent time to get ready for the four day weekend! :awe

Meh, I'll be in the lab all day tomorrow, bringing up and testing some boards (CPU modules) that just got delivered today. Hopefully there are no assembly issues - the assembly house is closed through January 3rd.

A normal day. Just seven reservations so far. Some of those might be trucks. The bulk of the day will be moving what we don't need to our hub store, since they're the only one open on the 26th and 27th. My co-worker says they already took a lot of stock already. Hopefully we don't get a flood of cars returning.

The 24th is supposed to be dead, though the last time I checked was Tuesday. We only had two bookings, both for trucks. Those are easy to put out. Of course they're both for 12:30 and we close at one. Why do people gotta do prick things like that. Probably show up late too. Doors will be locked at one come hell or high water though. I'll probably bring a movie for us to watch.

unfortunately i can't screw off, i actually have to provide results for the hours we bill the client.
