What is the worst freeway in your area!?

I love in LA

I used to think it was the 405 but since i dont drive it that much anymore...the 10 is pretty freaking bad!

but i think the 405 was rated the most congested freeway in the nation...it intersects with practically every other freeway in LA from the 101, to the 10, to the 105, to countless other ones....

Back when I was in LA, I thought the Orange Crush area (where 57, I-5, and 22 meets) was pretty bad.

Here in Denver, I-25 is the most conjested. Hopefully, adding an extra lane will help out.

I'm in LA.

I hate the 710 with all the trucks going to and from the ports, the 110 through downtown is a nightmare. But the 405 stretch between the airport and the valley sucks donkey nuts. There's about a 2 hour window that seems to vary when this freeway wont be jam packed. I've driven it at 6 a.m. and a 11 at night and I've hit traffic.

Live in GA here, and if the worst highway isn't I-285, then it's gotta be northern I-85 with all the construction/repaving they're doing on it. I love how the little roadwork sign says, "Expect 2+ hour delays"

Yay.

I-10 West (aka Katy Freeway) here in Houston. 20 mile parking lot - both ways! Late this year/early next year they will be widening it from it's current 10 lanes and 1 HOV lane to 22 lanes. Can't wait until they start that construction

91 through riverside is under construction. driving home from orange county at night is a nightmare.

The H1 highway is horrible. During rush hour, it took me almost an hour to get to the other side of the island.

I-75/40 right outside my office window. The 10 mile stretch were I-75 and I-40 meet (through Knoxville) is the highest traffic volume per lane in the nation. It's pretty bad during the day and up until 7:00 or so. After that, it's not too bad. But, traffic is running on that thing all day.

Yup, but at least people on 96 and 75 act like they have somewhere to go, people on 94 through the city seem to be without a clue.

When I learned to drive in LA, and now every time I go back to visit it's a tie between the 405 and 101.

Here in Champaign, IL the worst is Interstate 74. But I-74 is a dream compared to the 405 or 101.

US Highway 1 runs straight through Columbia, so that's definitely the worst here. Other than that, I-20, I-26, and I-77 aren't really too bad. The worst for those major interstates is where I-20 and I-26 intersect. It's the most poorly-planned intersection ever. It's commonly known as "Malfunction Junction."

bay area: every freeway is bad.

the one i use almost everyday though: 880 between oakland to san jose when it turns into 17. i hate the area in milpitas, merges into 2 lanes, traffic 24/7, 😛

I-87 in New York has to take the record for most miles of traffic jam! It runs from the Canada border all the way to New York City. The Tappan Zee Bridge near New York City is always trafficland. Also if you're unfortunate to pick a bad time it's a 35 mile mess at the Woodbury-harriman barrier all the way to the Tappan Zee. On the free part of it from Albany to Saratoga can supposedly be a 30 mile zoo during rush hour, and that can extend to 55 miles up to Lake George!
