The car cost $300 to fix. I bought a Pentium 4 and Soyo motherboard with the rest. Haha, the best part was, she hit a part of the car that was already hit.

your a dick...

I hate it when people slow down when going through tunnels. If the tunnel speed limit is 55 on the Highway, then do 55 and not 45 or so. That pisses me off.

i was driving on a highway at around 9:30 one night going home from school; i was in the left lane at the time (no, i dont drive in the left lane anymore) and doing about 65 or so when i see this large sedan (which turned out to be a buick driven by an old man) getting ready to turn into my lane.

i thought surely he was going to wait for me to pass, since i was within maybe 75yds of him.

i was wrong. he pulls out in front of me (and, of course, moving like molasses) so i had to swerve into the right lane within maybe 40yds of him to keep from hitting him.

2 seconds after i switched lanes, im coming up to pass him fast and without a signal or any hesitation, he pulls in front of me; i had to hit the brakes hard and run off the road to keep from hitting him.

stupid bastard.

Person evidently took the wrong exit so she proceeded to back down the exit ramp and onto the interstate.

Just the other day I saw someone driving the wrong way down the same interstate.

3 months ago I was driving home from college (PA to CO) on I-80. I was about halfway into Ohio traveling west when I saw two semi trucks heading side by side in the two east bound lanes. Right before we arrived at the same position, the semi in the left lane moved into the right lane, directly into the other truck (I'm guessing the first semi was either trying to avoid an obstacle in the road or just plain forgot that the other semi was there). Anyway, the first semi collided into the side of the other semi, and ripped open the entire left side of the trailer causing debris to fly out everywhere. Then, just as I got to the point where the two trucks were at, the semi in the right lane swerved off of the road, flipped over within the ditch, and burst into flames. I could feel the heat from the fire from inside my car 3 lanes over. It was insane.

The worst: A woman putting on her make-up was *fully* on the wrong side of the road - not halfway, not straddling the double yellows, but going fully England-style - coming at me head-on. I blasted the horn and the idiot just barely swerved back into her own lane in time. We were both doing about 40 mph, so it wouldn't have been pretty.

Worthy of mention: A woman going the opposite way as me waited & waited to make a left. No cars were in front of me, I could see her from when we were a mile away. She decided to go when I was about 50 feet from her, doing about 50 mph. Another near miss.

Also worthy: A woman going the opposite way as me was weaving a lot. When we got near each other, she swerved into my lane & clipped off my rearview. I called the police on my cell phone & reported her, apparently they got her the next town over. She was falling-down drunk.

..I see this a lot. People will swirve into the middle lane to make a left turn..completely oblivious to existing traffic. That's a moving violation called "lane straddling" and is extremely reckless..please stop it and if your a cop start writting tickets when you see morons do this..they've stepped up enforcement here in SF and it's a very expensive ticket and a bling on your insurance and will raise your rates..and a bling on your DL.

Something I notice here is left hand turns from the right lane and right hand turns from the left. Also turns in general with the wrong blinker on.

These are done by 'thug' types and I have been trying to find out if some movie or show featured this idiotic act.

Someone could've gotten hurt with that kind of distraction!

i was driving home last night around 10:30 goin about 55-60 on a highway and these 2 trucks (f250s maybe, I dont know trucks and it was dark) get next to each other and slow down to about 25, then proceeed to drag race down the highway. There was light traffic, and I thought some poor car was going to get creamed by these guys.

I've seen stupidity in quantity and frequency... definitely agree there should be more stringent testing for drivers.

One of the scariest cases I've encountered was an old whitehaired asian man driving his Acura sedan straight at me in the opposite direction at about 30mph. Thank god I was able to miss him. And the reason why I had to swerve to miss him? He was going the wrong way on a one way road that I was on. Needless to say, it freaked me out as well as my friend who was a passenger. I think he flat out ignored the three NO RIGHT TURN signs at that traffic light up ahead. And that light's green lights? It has an left arrow for left turns and another arrow for straight ahead. No arrows for right turn.

how many times have you seen stories where some poor schmuck's blood is smeared on the side of his disabled car alongside a highway. Want to guess what happened ?

I've read enough of those to know better. You can drive VERY slowly with your hazards in the shoulder until the next exit unless it's 15 miles away.

BTW, my mom's Talon with low profile tires got a flat and we drove quite a few blocks home and the rims were fine.

#1 it's going to be one rim if anything but the worst case.

#2 assuming the average you are talking a couple hundred...assuming the worse a grand or two...but see #3

#3 it's called roadside assistance, pull your sh!t way off the road. Use you cellphone you love to hear ring in the theatre out and call AAA/or whatever flavor you have.

#4 if you can't afford roadside, or insurance on your ride...don't steal the wheels to begin with.

meh, probably overtaking on blind corners...

but people collectively speeding up when you get to a straight/overtaking lane after sitting 20kmh below the speed limit until then, then dropping to that speed again after the straight annoys me the most :|

yeah that sh1t is annoying...or when someone stays 3 feet off your bumper in traffic on the interstate and when you finally move over they move up to the next car 30 feet ahead and proceed to ride them just like they did you...i always get the urge to just slam on the brakes and claim whiplash

they wouldn't need to ride anybody's bumper if people would obey both the law and common courtesy and move the fvck out of the fast lane. ;)

You live in CA and you are saying this? Geez...get our of our state and go drive in Alaska or something.

I was pissed off and was taking a left . The road was wet and I was going a little fast. I ended up hydroplaning on the water and went sideways. I managed to stop before I hit the median but I looked pretty stupid.

Okay...mines just awesome because I was in the car.

Anyway this was...3 years ago at the QuakeCon in Mequite, TX. My brother, a friend of ours and I flew out from LAX to DFW and rented a car there. We also picked up another guy from our clan from the airport on the way to the hotel

Anyway...the rental is some piece of sh!t dodge intrepid or some crap...whatever their 4 door sedan is. My brother is driving in the leftmost lane...and it's raining. He makes the statement "I wonder how this car handles in the rain". I knew this was bad because:

1 - My brother is insane.
2 - My brother thinks that no matter the circumstances he is in control.
3 - My brother drives his Ford Escort Wagon like it's a Porsche.
4 - My brother has both run into a parked car with his car and also when riding a bike.

Okay...so he does the stupidist thing in the world....he swerves quickly into the next lane over...mind you it has just started raining...the worst time to do something stupid.

So here we are in the middle of a 4-lane interstate and he does this crap...we end up doing a 360...the car seems to pause for a few seconds while I'm looking out the front windsheild at oncoming traffic. We complete the 360 and the car skids of of the road onto the grass at the side...almost hit the cement barrier.

Car died...and luckily it got started again. It sounded SO BAD the rest of the weekend whenever we started it up.

Okay here is another one. I'm driving out in the country (I grew up in the middle of nowhere)...and I see this truck off of the pavement on the other side of the road. I'm like...okay big deal. So as I get closer...he turns across both lanes and starts to head into this dairy that is there....he never used a signal or anything.

I had to slam on my brakes and swerve off the right side of the road on the dirt, barley missed a telephone pole and managed to get back on the road without loosing control. I wanted to stop...but I really don't think he saw me at all so seeing me heading right for him probably scared the crap out of him enough.

I admit this was in drivers ed during a behind-the-wheel class and the girl didnt have much experience, but when the drivers ed instructor told her to "turn the corner and pull off to the side so we can switch drivers" and pointed at the spot where he wanted her to pull over (it was after a left turn), she pulled off to the wrong side of the road and put it in park...i mean, why would someone who is teaching you to drive legally tell you to pull off to the wrong side of the road?.......
