PC:
WoW - been playing since beta, but with a subscription fee so not all that remarkable
Diablo 2 - I have no qualms with being a blizz fanboy :p
HL1 - this wins hands down if you include Counter Strike.

Console:
Metal Gear Solid 1 - This game was so original, polished, and emersive for it's time.
Tony Hawk 3 - one of the few games I unlocked every possible goal.
NFL Blitz for PS1 - I got my college roommates addicted one year, then the next year I moved in with 3 new guys and got them all addicted as well. Good times.

Battlefield 2.

I haven't bought any game in the 3 years since the BF2 demo came out because no other game (that I know of) offers so many playing options. Prior to that, I thought nothing would ever beat SoF2 multiplayer.

Ah, yes, Tony Hawk... the first one I got was THPS2, and I spent a ridiculous amount of time on it. I played until I could drain the fountain on the first try in Philly every time. I breezed through 3&4 :p

Singeplayer

Dark Forces

No replayability, but it was one of the only games I've ever finished and stepped back and went "whoa".

Multiplayer

BF1942

Surely not the best balanced game or the most technically sound, but, without a doubt, the most fun I've ever had multiplayer gaming and I played it for a long time without it ever feeling old.

Boneyards I think.

Counter Strike held my attention, I still play it occasionally, and it was free (free back in the mod days, and CS Source was included with my ATI HL2 coupon back in the day also). Total Annihilation is up there too though.

BF1942 would be on my list, except it had such issues when it was first released (very buggy, but what do you expect from EA). If you include the Desert Combat mod, it would rank even higher in my book. I still say Battlefield 2 is just a slightly tweaked version of Desert Combat.

Haha I'd have to say either CS: Source or COD4. Great buys since they offer lots of replay value and are easy to get into :)!

Eh - I don't have 1 favorite game. Mine is more of a favorite time period of games - 1980's - consoles and pc [Amiga] games.

I do have 1 game that I hate and wish it would've died in the depths of gaming hell:

Another World

Ugh, strictly time WoW certainly wins.

Starcraft, SSB:M (Gamecube), Skies of Arcadia (Gamecube), and recently Portal have been all vying for all time favorites however.

Warcraft III, Starcraft, Diablo II(Diablo I was great but... I didn't like only 4 player online), Counter-Strike and CS : S, City of Heroes and Splinter Cell Chaos Theory. (On Xbox, I played it on XLink Kai and XBC or whatever)

Best game ever? Probably Jedi Knights Dark Forces II. Best multiplayer ever. The very best of the best. (Awesome DBZ mods and crazy cog hacks)

I cannot possibly just mention one.

I'll mention my top ones though, I would consider them all to be #1's:

- Doom series
- Warhammer 40,000 series
- Diablo 2 Classic & Lord of Destruction
- Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl
- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Fallout 2 and Jagged Alliance 2 are mine. More Jagged Alliance 2 because of the length of play and replayability with several different mods.

Yep that was it.

I normally played Arm but it seemed Core one most of the universe battles.
