I played Utopia on the SNES for hours upon hours upon hours as a kid.

.. should go buy some Starcraft CD's. I'm pretty sure I have bought two sets already... it's like they vanish in thin air. I never lose anything else.

I have repurchased SC I think 3 times now. It's ridiculous. Do they have a crazy lotion on the discs that make them disintegrate in a year? I ended up just burning about 5 copies of the game and putting them all around my house.

Soldier of Fortune II has managed to keep my attention for 6+ years now.

As for single player, I would have to say Fable. I don't want to say how many times I've played through that game.

Syndicate was, and still is, my favorite PC game of all time - I would love to see an updated version of that masterpiece!

Everquest 1 and Quake 2 for me. Diablo 2 deserve honorable mention, and I'm eagerly awaiting Diablo 3.

I've had Oblivion for a while now, and have never installed it. Actually I did install it a while ago, but the hardware I had at the time was much too inferior to play. I think I loaded it up, and played all of, literally, 5 minutes and stopped. I need to try it again.

Deus Ex is a tie or very close second for me. I think I went through that 3+ times. The oppurtunity cost was very well done. There were always at least 2 entries or methods to overcome a "problem", and the augmentations could mix up an entire play through.

Mirrowind I went through twice. Each time exploring every area of the map (i.e. accessing every area so that it turned green/showed terrain). I did practically every quest, joined a bunch of different factions and had a house in Balmora with every item in the game. Oblivion, only once through; spent over 180 hours including both expansions, but it just didn't have "it".

Rome TW for strat and NOLF1-2 for FPS (original NOLF), Original EQ1 for MMORPG, Quake 3 for online FPS. Best overall game ever for me was NOLF1. Simple, but entertaining and great FPS SP gameplay.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned X-Wing Alliance...

That was a killer flight sim for me; It was long with tons of missions, you fought in all the ships you loved, and got to fly the Falcon in the last scene. Can't beat that. I lost many hours playing that one.

Final Fantasy.
Spent over 20,000 hours playing these games on the PlayStation, and I've written countless Walkthroughs and guides on them. I've completed all the games 100% at least five times for each game (there have been 6 for the PS so far), and many times just to get some storyline/boss specs right. Safe to say that if my grandma hadn't bought me FF IX when she randomly stumbled upon it in a shop, my life would have been *very* different today =). My favourite FF game is Final Fantasy VII, the greatest game ever made.

I've played many other games though, Gran Turismo is still a favourite, completed Gran Turismo IV 100% two times now. Played RuneScape for a couple of years too, earning me a rank 100 spot, but I quit it to start Warhammer Online when it comes out in a month or two. Looking forward to it a lot like the childish being that I am!

I can't even remember how many times I've finished it, and how many different approaches on creating JC Denton I've done. The script is phenomenal, the dialogues too, the graphics were good back on the day. Easily the most replayable game I've ever laid my hands on.
