I would like to meet some of these self-proclaimed experts. I know that I try to help as many people as possible, but there is only so much that I know. What really bugs me is people that bitch about not getting help from other members. How much are you paying these other members to try an help you? That's right. You are not paying a dime. So at least appreciate the fact that some members make an effort at helping you. Even recently a member said that no one on these forums was able to help him so he decided to leave Anandtech. Well with an attitude like that you will never get any help. Other members expect answers within minutes. Well I won't be the first to say it, but it might just not happen. Be patient and eventually someone will be able to help you.Originally posted by: hungrygoose
i've complained about the OT forums several times.....it's discouraging to come to a technology based web forum, and click on "Today", and see that 95% of the top posted topics are off topic......it's becoming a chat room......i haven't been posting here long but even when i first started it wasn't as bad as it is now......now it's like you have to hunt for topics with any worth......and whenever i ask a question, i hardly ever get any replies of worth.......self preclaimed "Experts" feel that b/c they are a "diamond member" or watever, then they know wat they are talking about......that's not always true
Also many members come here for help and give a broad description of the problem and expect answers. For the most part these broad descriptions will not help solve any problems. Many times more information such as system specs, components, etc are necessary to troubleshoot the problem. If you have a problem with members not being able to help you, maybe you should just ignore those members or take your problems elsewhere.
