We talk a lot about the really great games, and we also give plenty of our thoughts on the games we hated or are universally regarded as bad. However, what you don't hear much are the games that reviewed poorly for one reason or another, but actually are pretty fun.
For me, it would have to be Timeshift. Metcritic gives it a 70 overall, but some individual scores are as low as 50. http://www.metacritic.com/game.../timeshift?q=timeshift
This game got pretty bad reviews overall, mainly for it's lack of originally, but for me the game was fun pretty much from start to finish. Yes, they did re-use a bunch if ideas and concepts from other games, but they stole the ideas and implemented them well IMO. At $17 used from GameCrazy, it was a really worthwhile purchase.
Just curious if others have games they really liked that didn't get stellar reviews. These tend to be super cheap and plentiful at used game stores, so it would definitely be nice to find a few more of these gems in the rough.
