My wife has been driving our VW. I just take of oil changes and stuff and we just her a newer car. I decided I would start driving the VW for work when I don't need my truck. First thing I noticed was the ABS light so I took it a local VW place. They told me to find the part and it would only be a few hundred bucks. Over the next few days I noticed it was shifting hard and seemed like it slipped a very little bit once in a while.

I went to a shop a friend recommended. Transmission shop quoted me $3476.00 today...
.
The guys " its gonna be 3476 and it can be by next Tuesday"

I was like,. No, Ill pick it up tomorrow. We paid 5k for the car 6 years ago.

My printer has been nagging me to do a firmware update.

I finally relented.

Now it won't recognize the generic black cartridge that worked 20 minutes ago.

Big winter storm heading to TX so tons of panic buying.. but celery!??

Was at the local HEB and it was like WWIII. The produces section was like it had been raided. my wife was able to snatch the last celery before another man was able to get his hand on it. Green beans? Nope. Ok, frozen it is.. nope, all out too. WTH!
At least there were few loaf of breads and hamburger buns left.

*tons of ice cream though

Peanut butter on celery is one of nature's perfect foods. Also, this stuff on celery, mmm.

Dunno about peanutbutter on celery. I've had it before, but I can't get excited about it. I'd rather have fresh ground salt. Bretagne salt is great cause the tears and sweat of manual labor take it to the next level.

That pimento spread looks good though.

Went to work out this morning and the fog already set in pretty heavy. Figured I'd leave to work a good bit earlier anticipating the commute to be just as bad. Nope. It was only really foggy during my first 8-10 miles of the commute, so I got to work super early. It actually worked out because our outlook went down most of the day yesterday so I was able to catch up on emails that finally went through. But still...

Car wouldn't start this morning, tried charging the battery a bit and it almost turned over, tried charging it longer but still wouldn't do it, ended up ubering to get a new battery because my wife is gone until tomorrow. Battery was only a year old, feels like the parts stores only carry shitty batteries from brands I've never heard of nowadays.

Ohman… my wife’s grandmother used to make the best homemade pimento spread! We’ve never found or had anything better since she passed.😭

Accidentally scheduled valentines day dinner reservations during the Super Bowl. How to tell my spouse?
