I can't decide if I want to see the new movie One Battle After Another in Dolby Cinema or IMAX. The movie looks completely bad ass. I recently saw my 1st movie in Dolby Cinema and it was really something else. I watched the rereleased of IT last night in it, and it was insane. But IMAX is also incredible :|

Not sure if this is a problem or a win - I bought an item which "Was not working" for pretty cheap. I think I may have found the issue.

Fortunately it's a 10 minute fix.

Easy fix! Suggest you replace it with a L6-20P 20 amp twist lock plug and run a dedicated 20 amp circuit to the bedroom on her side for it. Vibrators are classified similar as blow dryers and are not continuous use items, so some can go up to 1800w, some even 2000w as the assumption is made it won't run long enough to trip a 15 amp circuit but with some users it does. If you run it on a 20 amp circuit it's just safer if it gets extended use. Try to find a plug with explosion proof rating, it's more suitable for high vibratory environments.

Having major eye surgery on Monday (prophylactic vitrectomy) and have to go to Milwaukee for it. The first postop follow-up is Tuesday at 7:30am in Kenosha. Since I live over an hour away, I had to get a hotel room for Monday night. Tack the hotel room onto the rental of the vitrectomy recovery chair and equipment that was $225 for one week.

I think @Gizmo j should start a business renting out those chairs and equipment. You can buy them on Amazon for less than the single week rental. There's only a few companies that offer them and they're nationwide. I bet they rake it in.

Ah kenosha, the destination for many area youths with a desire to purchase whippets and pipes, etc.
Im going to spend the rest of the day deep in memory of my well spent youth.

Good luck with your surgery.

Good luck! I had my first cataract surgery two weeks ago, second scheduled for next week.

When I look through the gun at work, my impeccable Leica optics are always a little blurry. I'm wondering if it's my eyes, or the boss fucked something up while I was off work this spring. Everything else looks about right with my naked eye. I'm a good candidate for cataracts, but no one's ever said anything when I got my eyes checked.

A small town here in Arizona had a major flood a couple nights ago. Based on the videos people are posting, I think we need to incorporate basic videography lessons into the school art curriculum. The videos are horrible.

One eye simply stopped focusing on anything, even through my spotting scope so I knew it was time. The interesting thing to me is the color shift between the fixed eye and the other. The unfixed eye has a yellow tint while the fixed eye has a blue tint. The fixed eye is probably more "accurate" but replacement lens are known to have a slight blue shift relative to natural lens so it's a bit of yellowing due to the cataract and a bit of blue from the replacement lens.

I just got this email. God I hate living in this dystopian future. My fire stick/remote is talking behind my back.

I just got banned from Facebook completely out of nowhere. Been following the ostrich situation in BC and was just going through some posts then BAM account disabled. Will be deleted in 180 days. So I was going to post on Facebook to let my family know... wait, I can't.

NGL this is going to suck, but maybe it's the boot I need to get off that shitty platform. It's so glitchy and frustrating to use, but somehow I get sucked in and just doom scroll. But the real shame is that it is the primary way I stay in touch with most family and friends and share stuff etc. So I will actually miss that part.

They don't even tell you why you were suspended either they just give you 180 days to appeal (which I'm sure just gets denied) and then the account is deleted.

I'm pretty sure they require ID to make a new account now too, so it's not exactly easy to make a new account. There's no freaking way I'm giving them my actual ID.

They must have gotten some law passed in Canada for that. I have three accounts there AFAIK, though I'm a very infrequent visitor. Only used it seriously when I was a teen and few years ago when I was trying to e-bag a Minnesota chick. Unfortunately, as these things go, she got tired of being it only a cyber affair and told me off very rudely that she saw no future with me and now I got no Minnesota chick to brag about :D

They have been pushing lot of "hate speech" bills here so wouldn't be surprised. Basically if you say anything that goes against government narratives (like saying you don't agree with vaccine mandates or mass immigration or that there's only 2 genders etc) then it's hate speech. They also have a law where they want social media companies to pay money to news companies every time someone posts a link to a news story, so FB just blocked posting news altogether, and I can't really blame them because the logistics of dealing with that would be insane. Lots of overreach these days.

I keep checking FB forgetting that I'm banned. I guess it will take me a couple days to get over this then I'll just accept my fate and move on. I'm going to go and make my own Facebook, with blackjack, and hookers.

Seriously though it would be a fun project from a coding perspective, the issue is dealing with all the legal bullshit like government mandates/requirements that are imposed on social media platforms all around the world. Not to mention trying to actually get users.
