err, the problem is I don't know where the two cables are joined. It is working, that is why I don't want to mess with it.

Should be able to trace them out individually using a battery (like a 9 volt) and multimeter. Unhook all wires at both ends, hookup battery to 2 of the wires then probe the other end with a multi meter. Repeat until you have them all identified.

I got an email from Amazon on Monday. "As of August 31, 2025, we will no longer deliver packages to rear doors or side porches."

I live in a building with a residence downstairs. You can access it by the front door. I live upstairs in one of two apartments only accessible via side door. The door has a small about 2'x3' concrete porch that touches a paved parking lot. This used to be a business so it's a wide open and very safe looking area to enter. I also always unlock the downstairs door if I know a package is coming. I'm not sure what to do. I guess I have to change it to the front door and hope they read my delivery instructions.

I'm wondering if my "mice" are actually hornets. They've been terrorizing me outside my screendoor at night. Keep expecting one to get in. I haven't really noticed this year, but they fly under the eaves, and may have gotten behind the walls. Sounds like a lot of activity for mice, but there's no easy way to find out what's back there.

I never get spam in my inbox and all of a sudden I've gotten 5 spam emails today about extending my car warranty. I wonder who was hacked that has my email address and knows I own a car.

Spray isn't working so far. I've emptied two cans on the entrance, and there's still a nest in the wall. Gonna see if I can find a can straw somewhere, and see if it fits the cans. Maybe drill holes in the wall, and spray it in there. Having a stethoscope would be useful, so I can pinpoint the sound. Dunno if I want to buy one just to track bees down :^/

No. The emails are pretty generic, nothing about the make/model or my name or anything. It must just be widespread spam. I don't understand why Gmail isn't catching them though. My first through was its related to the auto dealer cyber hack that happened last year.

What a bunch of bullshit, and I'm not logging in to youtube for anything, much less a Buffy clip. Asshats. I guess it's good to have the occasional reaffirmation that google is a trash company, and should be avoided at all costs...

The tracking on the Home Depot site keeps failing, but I noticed the tracking number was in the URL when I click on the button and it even has a field for carrier, saying it's UPS. The number in there did not feel like it was valid so I put it through a base64 decoder and sure enough it was base64, so was able to track my package through the UPS site that way.

It's just a compilation of Buffy & Spike clips. I could make it myself, but then I'd have to spend the time editing a season of videos. If your link doesn't work, I /may/ end up doing that, just cause it's bugging the shit out of me, but I don't want to. I also like seeing other's editorial choices.
