Oh, and today's FWP is I went through every old cell phone I have, and none of them work with my Visible sim. I was hoping to move the Visible phone to my primary, and use whatever as my hotspot phone, cause it doesn't matter, but none work. My current primary phone works with the sim, but hotspot won't work, and that's the one thing it must do.

Still debating buying a phone cause mine's stuck on android13, but it currently works fine going into it's 4th year, and I don't want to be wasteful. It also isn't my problem, since it's a work phone, but I can probably buy cheaper through Visible, and I know my current hotspot phone works as my Tmobile primary. Will the current phone last 4 more years? Roll the dice and see what ya get!

Holy shit! I just went to the site. It's $12/brick.
Well, calories don't really matter unless you are working hard. And Keto foods are more expensive because if you stick to them, your body may go into ketosis (more ketones in blood and less glucose). The thing with less glucose molecules floating in the blood is that they also do less damage to tissues. This gives your body time to heal itself more and may also reverse some degenerative conditions as the damaged tissues/cells get completely replaced with healthier newer ones.

I turned off the TV last night and went to bed when Duke was up by 7 with a couple of minutes left. Assumed there was no way Houston could come back.

I just went to the site. It's $12/brick. That's $5 more than the MREs at full price($85/case), and 250 calories short. Also, it's only one thing to eat instead of a few things. Hope you're in the mood for brick, cause that's all you're getting! :^D

I'll give them one thing. I bet they pass the helicopter test. You could probably drop them from LEO, and they'd come out alright :^D

I had an MRE back in college. Once was enough lol. Keto Bricks are 10x better (still not great, but y'know). Soylent is really the best deal tho:

$1.71 per 400kcal whole-nutrition meal with 20g protein on subscription:

Sure looks like it has a mouthwatering flavor :^D

They're not...terrible. If you've ever eaten real white chocolate with cacao butter, that's basically the base flavor & texture. The good flavors sell out pretty quickly tho.

If you prefer Lembas bread from LOTR, MealSquares are available lol:

MREs have gotten better since back in the day. Most of the garbage had already been purged by the time I got into them, but the fucking MRE omelette ranks as one of the worst things I ever had in my mouth. Not sure how hungry I'd have to be to make that taste good, but I haven't gotten there yet :^D The omelettes are no more afaik.

My buddy had a a fiber cut to his whole facility...turned out to be rats eating the cable lol. Ultimately cost $15k to repair
It would've been a lot cheaper to spray potent rat poison in that area to prevent it from ever happening.

My younger cat is too big and destroys every toy I buy for him, I've gone through 3 of these wand toys that are basically collapsible fishing rods, third one lasted like 2 days before he snapped the end off.

That's pretty funny, he would probably end up pulling the whole robot over though. Still tempted to try it out he'd probably love chasing it around.

Record the whole thing and if he manages to dismantle it or make it unusable, you can try to sell the video to the makers to make the next version more "Mr. Obliterator" (your cat) proof.

We've had some areas where mice chewed up the fibre in splice boxes too, fun times. Also ants or snakes shorting out equipment lol. Lately it's thieves though, they cut down the poles and steal the cable, then realize it's fibre and leave it. But they also go after the 600 pair copper cables and steal those. I would hate the be the one having to splice those. Tower ground cables too are a big target, and heliax. We had a recent one where they pulled fibre right out of conduit going through a bridge. The thieves were still there when the techs showed up to investigate and they ran off but eventually got caught.

This particular cut was an oddball one, the hydro company installed new polls and the fibre was still on the old pole and was rubbing up against the new pole so it eventually wore out.

Years ago we had an interesting one, ATM heist at a local restaurant, they cut a hole through the ceiling so they can zip line to the ATM, not sure how they planned to get it out of the ground from there but they never got that far. In order to disable the alarm system they cut the main fibre feed for the whole city which passes behind that restaurant where the train tracks used to be many years ago. The railroad company used to also be the long distance company so the fibre still runs in those same spots. Cutting that fibre isolated the whole city. No internet or long distance service. That was fun. They eventually got caught, think the alarm system still ended up working as it was probably going to a local monitoring station.

My new phone shipped with a nice piece of bubblewrap to protect it. I was gonna sit here and pop some bubbles before I threw it away, but it's unpoppable. The plastic is too flexible, and everything just makes room for the pressure. I'm sure I could twist it, but that's lame. Bubblewrap is best one bubble at a time :^(

edit:
I was wrong. The twist-N-pop® was better than I expected. I three big explosions, instead of the firecracker report. Still not as good as one bubble at a time, but it was a fun 1.5 seconds :^D
