My magnetic-tipped screwdrivers no longer have magnetism. Sigh....

Get one of these bad boys!

Dropped my Oakley's this morning. In my haste to pick them up, I lifted my foot and bent down. Lost my balance and accidentally stepped on them. Broke the frame right at the bridge. Going out of town this weekend and now I need a new pair. But there isn't a dealer around here within 50 miles except for optometrist offices which charge a premium. The good thing is this pair was free. At my son's wedding last year we found these glasses. I took pictures and had my son send it to as many people as he thought they would have belonged to and no one responded so I kept them.

After posting last month how stable Windows has been for me for so long, I ended up having to reinstall Windows today. I should have kept my mouth shut 😐

Wife's PSU died after 2 years (an RM750e). Had to do a quick test to make sure it was truly dead. Fortunately, I had an old RM550x lying around to temporarily swap in. Now just have to wait for Corsair to pull through with an RMA.

PC was being used for something multicore heavy? Corsair likes to cheap out with their high volume run of the mill stuff.
Nah. It's just a modest gaming rig - 5600x + RX6600. I think I just drew a bad card with this supply for it to suddenly die.

I have an RM750e in my own computer that is also 2 years old and it's fine. And I'm driving a RX7800XT in mine.

Tried installing some games on my new phone, and a couple of my favorites aren't compatible. I hardly ever play games on the phone, but when I do, I like to play those. They're old as shit, and a couple haven't been updated in over ten years. Maybe some time if I get bored and motivated enough, I'll get the source code, and see if I can figure out how to get them to work.

That works, but my favourite method is a coil of wire and dumping a bunch of current into it. :D

Trying to make a simple graph in Libreoffice Calc, and this is really retardedly designed. When you go to select the data range, it slaps the unfinished graph right on top of the data, so you can't select it. Completely unusable. This is something I would expect Microsoft to do.

Forgot to add, you cannot move it during this point as you're in a select mode.

I ended up having to cancel out of the data range so I can move it, then fumble around in the options to go back to where I can select the data. It worked in the end but very user unfriendly.

Have a package coming through USPS that's been bouncing around for 4 days since it arrived at the distribution hub by me that's only about 30 minutes away. They sent it to the town north of me, then back down to Chicago for some reason, then a west Chicago suburb, and then back up to my local post office and it's finally being delivered today. Never had problems like this before, usually I get my stuff on time or early.

Excel took about 25 minutes to reach 99% doing a sumif on a Core i5-12500 machine. Then it froze. Trying it now with Librecalc.

Close your browser with a gazillion tabs to free up memory.
Nah. The PC it was running on was freshly booted. It was around 2:22 AM in the office and I needed to get out ASAP after getting that work done but Excel threw a wrench in my plans when it was too slow on my i7-4770. So I booted up this other PC of a guy who barely uses it and started the task on that, except it froze at 99%. Librecalc saved the day and allowed me to exit the office at 3:21 AM and now I'm typing from my special dedicated laptop with the gazillion browser tabs (i7-3720QM 32GB RAM Thinkpad). The time is 4:36 AM.

I got someone on eBay to relist his CPU+RAM+mobo combo to $425 from $699. Except he didn't change it to "Buy it now" and now someone else is eating the fruit of my labor for $435. That was kinda douche-y of the guy to do that to me. Without me, his combo probably would not have gotten sold so quick. It was at zero bids till the last hour. I would've hated the bidding war anyway.

Can't remember the last time I actually bid on ebay. Usually just buy stuff. When bidding, if you aren't sniping, you're doing it wrong. That avoids senselessly boosting the price above what you want to pay, or what the value is.

Got my power station and solar panel today. It's raining it's ass off, and instead of putting the stuff in my covered porch, the delivery guy put it *next* to the porch, so it's all soaking ass wet :^S

I'm sure it's all fine, but it's annoying that they wouldn't take 3 extra steps to keep the stuff dry.

Paid my energy bill today, but I can't easily find how much they're charging me for gas/electric. All I can find is crude bar graphs and usage comparisons. Nowhere does it give $/kwh or $/therm. One likely link lead to a whole stack of pdfs for me to sift through. and I don't care that much. I'm just curious, but don't want to make a job of it. Not like I'm gonna quit using energy any time soon.

Ordered a pair of Mizuno Wave Horizon running shoes for the kid at around 1AM CT this morning. Then kid told me if I can have them ship to home instead of his school. Called and their office was closed already, so I wait and call them this morning right at 8:30AM ET when they opened... Noper! They already shipped it.

Yes, its aa problem but its also the first time I have ordered anything that shipped that fast!

I'm assuming boarding school? Why else would you choose a school for shipping address?

Tried to setup the Cougar Poseidon 240 AIO cooler. The cable connections made no sense. Really stupid if I have to refer to the manual. Didn't have this issue with Deepcool.
